Didn't see what number the plane is... I work on them... MRO... Have worked on 003, 574, 511 and 337 this year alone. 511 was the one that chopped up that Chinese fighter some time ago, so, I work on a celebrity of sorts.... :-D
I love this footage. My father was a P-3 Aviator. I joined the Army Infantry as a Paratrooper as a weird way of rebelling against my father but my roots are in the Navy. Dad DID know best. At least the aircraft I jump out of have the same engines and that familiar rumble.
He's about to embark on a true adventure! P-3 Crews get to see some of the best places and some of the worst! Lot's of hard work and long work days but worth it all. Give him my regards! Ex-VP-40 Crew 6 Wilcox's Mad Dogs (1971-1973).
