People, seriously, Microsoft controls over 90% of the market, they are not trying to "convert" people. They are trying to change their image from "big scary evil corporation" to "responsible company that makes products for everyday people".

They have given up on Vista, the purpose of these ads are NOT to promote Vista. They are actively working on Windows 7. Windows runs the majority of software on the planet, it's just a fact at this point in time.

The Mac commercial is right. Microsoft should have spent the money they used for this advertising campaign on development for Vista. The performance of this OS (and I am a user and I know first-hand) is atrocious.

actually ddr3 makes a big difference I used a new macbook with 2gb of ddr3 and that was a lot faster than the old with 2gb ddr2 the rest was the same except for the GPU and the CPU

mac is always behind. no, listen. a new processor comes out from intel - its about half a year or more before you get it. and you can get PCs more highly configured to. so PCs are more powerful if you want to spend that kinda money.
