Ya know, Masashi Kishimoto does make it seem as if Naruto and Sasuke are somewhat in love in the manga and the episodes. He has them kiss, he has Naruto going CRAZY to bring back Sasuke, he has Sasuke thinking of Naruto a few times. He had Sasuke protecting Naruto occasionally. When Naruto went Kyuubi, most of the time it was or Sasuke, to protect or bring him back. And I've even heard that Kishimoto admits SasuNaru/NaruSasu is his favorite pairing. :)

Now THAT'S a proper ending to Naruto. I laughed, I cried, I mourned the old Sasuke, I was expecting the Black verdict. But for once, I was surprised. I wanted to hug Naruto so bad you have no idea. And in the end, I was sooo proud of Sasuke for hanging on. And even prouder of Sakura, for risking becoming a missing nin for Sasuke's sake. Extremely well done. Kishimoto would be proud.
