He's absolutely right. Do you really think the wealthy, upwardly-mobile people Bloomberg loves so much are going to move in to the area if they build luxury condos there? It's directly under the approach path of jets landing at LaGuardia and right next to that giant stinking puddle known as Flushing Bay, which smells to high heaven at low tide despite decades of cleanup efforts. The only housing you could build there would be slums.

Manhattan is the tourist attraction not willets point queens or citi field. put up apartment buildings for people and stop over developing the rest of queens

He actually lives above a restaurant in the heart of the autobodies and junkyards. He rents out the restaurant which, if you looked close, maybe you could see from the 7 train...
