The whole game being like a visual novel is not a nice sign. It is rather lackluster and a bit stale. I like to see people interacting like they do in the PS2 version. It gives a more personal feel when developing social links instead of the visual novel point and click route.

Yeah I agree,but Oddly Enough, for the Japanese, the Visual Novel way gives them a more personal feel than the normal rpg way we use to have like in the PS2 version.For example see other games like Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni or Konami's Tokimeki Memorial series. And well,given the social/date sim nature of this game plus space issues that a UMD could have with this,it doesn't seem that outrageous for Atlus to go for the Visual Novel format.

And to be honest,I doubt is version of Persona 3 is going to be localizated,probably for the same reasons you posted.A Visual Novel format is not that appealing to the standard RPG gamer,But that's just my opinon let's see how everything unfolds.

I see what you mean. You are like face to face with the characters in a visual novel format instead of just seeing others interact with the main character from a third person point of view. Plus the visual novel format could give the MC more say in text.

If you ask me, I'm a fan of the 3rd person point of view,but this version of P3 comes with many new things that made me intersted in it.But like I said,I'm not sure if they are going to localize this one imo.
