could you desccribe to me a little bit what exactly the process of making one is?

Oops, I meant 2*2^1, not 2*2^2. That'd make the smaller ocarina a fourth down from the root instead of a fifth up.

Good job! However, you should not that it's only a fifth lower, not an octave. No worries; I often mistake the dominant for the root too

2*2^(7/12) = ~3 (the fifth)

2*2^2 = 2 (the root)

You did a great job! I`ve also made made some ocarinas. The first ones were difficult, but mine get better every time. Your`s looks great. And if it`s not totally in tune... try using a chromatic tuner with a needle point. that helps a lot. Keep up the good work!

Sadly, that would be very hard to do. I currently dont have the time, or patience to make one. When I made my first one it was hard enough to get it made, but doing it with a camera would be near impossible for me. What with the 5 hour process of actually sculpting the ocarina.

Yeah, it is. One thing I like about having both is, if one of them cant play a certain song the other most likely can.

That's because the bigger it is the more volume it has therefore lower pitch.

thats sweet dude. I'm making my own from instructions on how to make one. ive gotten to the part where you align the mouthpiece and the voicing and i have some sound now, but its pretty complicated altogether. I'll definetly post some vids on youtube when its finished.

Only 5 hours?!?

Yeah, like I said in my description, "It took 5 hours to actually get it in the rough form". I had to let it dry for 2 days, come back sand it down, paint it, let it dry, then glaze it. Then pick it up.
