I must of hard reset about 20 times now i can't even get a cruel dragon to fight me and it's always 1 or 3 people i'm fighting

im pissed my piers keeps only using that one sword from excalibur instead of three so the whole thing f*&% up and i cant get it why wont my piers use three swords.

Hey, another very important thing is that in the second round the third one who attacks must release the mars djinn or it won't work. For example, I have in my party Isaac, Ivan, Jenna and Piers, and to make sure Jenna attacks third i had to take off some clothes that boosts agility so her agility gets down and she can attack third.

*if you didn't understood too much, then sorry cause my english isn't so good hehe.

I've read the description and i have two questions.

1. Where is the Inner Islet Cave(Haven't played in forever and want to do this quick)?

2. Is there a specific time you have to hard reset?

3. Is there a specific type of clothes or weapons you have to have or can you use anything as long as you defeat the first monster using the same tactics as you?

1. I haven't played this game in a really long time either, so I can't help you here. Search GameFAQs and Ctrl+F for "Inner Islet Cave" and see if that helps.

2. Nope, just save anywhere in there and hard reset.

3. Nope, just use stronger/weaker versions of the psynergy if you have to and make sure Jenna goes 3rd in the 2nd turn.

@yokumiho just for your information dude, i read your description and it helped a lot, however you CAN be cursed as long as it doesnt stun your characters or if your cursed character has the clerics ring equipped. Thanks for the vid :D

Check the following:

- Do you get the message "Felix's party attacks first!" at the start of the battle? (If not, you aren't hard resetting properly.)

- When the Cruel Dragon dies, does it flash rainbow colors briefly? (If not, you need more Djinn of that element equipped.)

- Make sure everyone's status is normal and do not wear any cursed equipment.

- Are you fighting exactly 2 enemies, making sure there are no Wonder Birds? (This won't work with anything but 2 enemies or Wonder Birds.)

wait wait wait i dont think it will work ive tried this rainbow shit all day. for it to have a better chance equip alot of luck equipment and then cast a djinn that is weak against it such as in this case a fire type move dude use scorch use it as a last attack so like felix uses planet driver this move is a fire type move and it is only for the chaos lord class and it kicks ass then use scorch djinn. I DID THIS SO MANY FUCKING TIMES EVEN WHEN IVANS LUCK WAS UP TO 48 WOULDNT WORK

The luck stat does absolutely nothing for an RNG method. Read the video description, it has a fairly comprehensive list of things you should keep in mind while following this video.

If you've adjusted everything correctly, this works 100% of the time.

i suck at the RNG method, i have the idea down but not as well as you do mann, i tried it a bunch of times and it never worked, i did it on an emulater too of that says anything

It should work fine on an emulator, just reload the ROM instead of using the reset function. To check that you are hard resetting proper, make sure you get the "Felix's party attacks first!" message upon entering the battle. Your first weapon attack should be an unleash as well.

The Beserker Band drops off the Druj, so you either killed the wrong enemy or you did not do the RNG method properly.

I'm doing it the same way he's doing it, but on an emulator. What I do is I start the game in the tunnel, save, reset, then I get either this combo, or the one in Method#2 for enemies. I've done both 100% the way he does, and besides my damage being like 1-2 off for my AE spells, I don't get the edge. And it's the first battle since the reset.

Any suggestions?

Go to gamefaqs and look for golden sun 2, under walkthroughs click a guide called "Random Number Generator FAQ". It's more helpful, and then you can do this on your own. Took me little time to read the guide and learn this trick.

This video isn't meant to be a guide on how to do RNG methods, it is simply another premade RNG for other people to use if they are having trouble getting the ones in the FAQ to work and do not want to invest the time in learning how to do RNG methods themselves.

thanks to that excalibur trick i got THREE excaliburs, which are very useful with dullahan and doom dragon, i defeated the dragon in 5 minutes thanks to my excalibur trick

Now hard reset. Press A rapidly until it brings up the screen where it flashes

"PRESS START". Now when it starts flashing, "PRESS START" will be bright white

for about 1.5 seconds, then it fades out and comes back again brightly. Wait

for it to flash three times, then on the fourth flash press Start right before

it fades out again. After pressing Start, press A as fast as you can. It will

load up the file(if it is the first one) and give Sunshine the O.

This way, once you load the file, all you

have to do is press A as fast as you can to talk to him, give him the O, and

confirm. You must always do this in exactly the same time every time, as the

amount of time you spend in Sunshine's house seems to alter the second RNG. Did

that make sense? Try timing yourself and see if it works so far.

First of all, make sure that the Orihalcon is the first item in your first

person's (the one farthest on the left in battles) inventory. To achieve this,

go to the Items screen and while the cursor is on that person, hold L and press

A four times. That should bring the Orihalcon to the top. If it doesn't, then

give anything in front of it to someone else. Now save your game while standing

directly in front of Sunshine in bed.

What you said about the turn after djinn kills enemy, where it doesnt matter after that, that isnt true. Piers HAS to kill the second enemy. otherwise, if it is still alive, you will have to start over.

I'm having the same problem! 2 characters are cursed! And the method with wonderbird AND this one isnt working. It's something to look into. Thanks for posting this man! I'm going to see if that is why.

Drujs drop Berserker Bands, not Cruel Dragons, so are you sure you didn't target the wrong enemy? If that's not the problem, any number of things could have gone wrong, so please read the full video description for troubleshooting.
