finally watched the movie after reading the book 4 years ago. and the movie was ok not great but good enough

The book was AMAZING. A time for dancing is my all time favorite book but I didn't like this moving because it didn't do a good job of showing how close Sam and Jules really were. Also the parents all act very emotionless. One of my favorite parts in the book was when they were crying together on the beach. The movie also didn't show how sad Sam was when Jules died. It didn't show Sam crying and crying and crying and crying... All she says is "I miss her" and cries a tiny bit.

i read the book and i cried my eyes out!!! (and i didn't even cry when i watched titanic ;))

this book is fantastic!!!

they changed the movie wayyyyyyyyyyy too much. i still liked it but i agree about the little girls dance. they should of kept that in there. and also jules' little sister and her sharing that special moment before she died in the book. that part i loved. they skipped soooooooo much in the movie.

but i did still like it. it is defs a good movie!

does anyone else think they chanfged the movie wayy tooo much?? the thing that annoyed me the most was the omition of the little girls dance that sam and jules dance. thats like the biggest part of the book. i like the book a lot better.
