Free market? You mean the market like Wall St that only those so-called hardworking insiders can gouge? Bankers can name any fee they like with their Jewish languages. Yeah, dead Hebrews named gods, why can't those bankers do the same? It is only languages and rituals and they own some of your awesome gods.
Fieleftheri Eteria creators have never worked a single day in their life. Each one of them takes thousands euros per year from country (something that they criticise for others in this very video). Here, we see them judging and philosophing in high mood with sigarets and wine, while people outside protesting for a better future. Ridicilus Fileleftheri Eteria members go to hell...

Freedom doesn't mean freedom for individual. It's freedom for the privileged rich or giant corporations. I don't know how much he earns but at least he doesn't seem to be a part of the elite.
They got to be crazy if they accept a debt that is so huge that they will never be able to pay and will destroy there economy. How much of Greece's debt is odious debt created by corruption. When someone gets a bill, wouldnt you want to know how, who,and why you got that bill. You got to be stupid not to question what your government dose with European Union and there central Banks behind closed doors.
Fotis, his "pals in the liberal party" and anyone who thinks the corruption in Greece is a "good thing" should be charged with treason and stand trial. if found guilty they should be whipped through the streets and hung by their balls!
NO, you and all other european Nations are facing Denials. You all conived and destroyed the continent of AFRICA for Racial descrimination reasons.Still doing it today. We A fricans have no Hate for the people of europe. But can you people just take a look at what is going on.You all Hate Black People. So, GOD Hate you people.
Africans are already used to what you feed to them but you will never absorb the condition GOD will send your way.HI JAPAN.
@afrosnow100 Greece did not colonise any African country, nor did they sold men and woman as slaves.
And BTW it's not the peoples who arms Africa it's the governements and Rich families/enteprises. The rich are and always will be the who will rot in hell
It is stated in this video, and taken for granted without any arguments, that the measures that are being taken, are for the good of the country. And yet, no political or economical structure is being changed through the government actions. Just cut spending, without any sense of fairness or logic whatsoever. Doesnt anyone from the makers of this video or the viewers, see the irony in lending to get out of loans? And, rest assure, it is impossible to pay this new loan. Even if we stop eating.
Before you start uttering cliches like 'my father's money', know you sad miserable individual that there were n't any and that I have worked more that you could imagine. I would not be surprised if you spent your entire life playing with your toy Lenins and your toy Che, and you end up a servant of the people you hate. But this would be fair because you are incapable of ever acting on your own intelligence, probably because you have none. You have no idea of how the economy works.

All the fossilised populist and unreformed communist voices here are trying to live the revolution from their soffa, they have no idea what they are talking about. Perhaps they would like the extreme poverty and paranoia of the soviet regime, but we do not all have to follow them. I am a proud member of the Liberal Alliance and we said it exactly as it was, ...so can you please GO TO BED and let the young and creative minds work and invest so that we may get out of the crisis
@nikosflt Stop it with your propaganda you asshole. Anyone who questions your trickled down economics which results in extreme poverty , mental and physical violence, is not a comunist or a populist. the world economy is a big pyramid scheme. Your fathers money may serve you well for now you brat, but since most of the people are really feeling the crisis, dont be surprised if an angry mob tries to lynch you one day. And dont be surprised if there are people dancing over your corpse. Λαμογιο

my relatives all bitch about politicians but on my stay there i realize the biggest problem in Greece is Greeks them selves.
@sfaginx what are you talking about prank? who did all of these to you? greek state's officers and politicians? guess what...libertarians oppose to statism and political corruption too!!

@abadubie HAHAHAH! What? HAH HAHA GREECE's LITTLE SOCIALIST EXPERIMENT !
Thats about the funniest thing you can say to a Greek you ignorant tool! In 1973 the US established american dictatorship, transformed to a bipolar pseudodemocratical system with two parties that were both right liberals. Greece never had socialism, communism, or any of those polished turds. Just straight fascism pure and true. I think that you are not ignorant but are being paid to write this bullshit comments.
@satv365 Capitalism or communism? Those are our only choices? Really?
The "mob" as you call it are individuals who yearn to create for them selves and others. Its the human condition. Systems stifle creativity and individuality, but i guess you dont mind because without them it would be rather hard for you worthless piece of shit to earn your living.
PREPOSTEROUS! This is propaganda of the worst kind. The government has always siphoned money from the poor to redistribute to the rich. Every penny borrowed has gone to the hands of their rich friends. The average Greek hasnt seen 70.000 euros in his whole hard working life.
Death to all bankers. politicians and journalists. Or better yet may you live for a hundred years with a just a pension.
this "Liberal Party" is made by liberal yankees. the politicians ruined greece, took loans that greek people could not afford and without inform the public about the REAL economic situation of the state so many years. Thats why the people of this country wants them to pay.
As a second generation Canadian-Greek am ashame by the comments here by some Greeks blaming the Jews or the Americans and everybody else but themselves.
@canada4045 mr being ashamed should be a common state for you, blame is the order of the day for many countries in the world and it is aimed to t the US falcons and birds of prey, economic, political and military that your beloved canada so strongly supports as the most dedicated sidekick a villain has ever seen.
@canada4045 When you have people with IQ's 30 points bigger than your own, with all the money and all the power of the world and no qualm of using them, orchestrating to enslave you and your country, well... its kind of hard to blame yourself. A goat herders intellect is no match for propaganda and mass psychology. Do i really have to explain this? I am really ashamed of you canda4045 as a fellow homo sapiens. Tsk Tsk Tsk
@canada4045 And I am ashamed that we live in the information age and you would make an ignorant comment like that. The American insurrection has started from within. Check out some of John Pilger's documentaries, watch "the corporation", zeitgeist 1,2,3, and "The secret of Oz" etc. See why anti-american sentiment has grown at a steady pace over the last 40 years? Or would you have an indonesian be happy that he is reduced to a sweatshop worker. Remember we are pissed with the people at the top
The people that are shown in the video as parts of this "liberal alliance" must be the only people in Greece that know it's existance.Plus, they are in favor of the memorandum????This is called treachery and infuriating stupidity
@metalas170 the greeks are costing our economies so much right now and really risking contagion. they need to take on these austerity measures or leave the eurozone. protesting and asking just to cripple other countries economies is not a solution.
Those people talk about that German people don't have to borrow us to survive... To borrow us what??? That they have stole us since 1941???? To borrow us our money they have stolen??? The GERMAN DEPT to Greece is the main starting reason of the Greek economic Problem!!! And those guys are just TREATERS and STUPIDS!!! Why do i have to have a dept to someone when i work 8h per day for living????
I really thought that Al Jazeera was uncontrolled by the US, the EU and all the political elite, but i was wrong. You guys that created this documentary are just pawns... I hate that i even have to say that those guys who can afford NOT to work on fridays, that LAUGH (at 9:12) when they talk to each other about such important matters , who have IPHONES.... Those guys have NO right to judge, they are probably as corrupted as the politicians, and not only the greek politicians off course!

@HelmetBlissta what is exactly the argument i have to contradict? first of all a libertarian can be either left or right so deal with your ignorance about political spectrum first. As it concerns "interests of the capitalists" its so broad and general pose that makes no particular sense. These guys defend their individualism and self-ownership in terms of social, professional and civil life..
so accept their right to express their arguments as a democrat you pretend to be!
@0anjel6 If i stabbed you in the throat, took over your house, stole your valuables and sold them, and then passed law making my actions legal, I would be definetely defending my individual interests in term of social, professional and civil life.
I mean, come on, I am a nihilist too, but lets call a spade a spade you pice of shit.
The communists are manipulating the Greeks.Wait and see what kind of a life you will have if Greece becomes a communist state, forget about your freedoms. If you think communist system is less corupt then your system, think again.Only a very few will be rich and the whole society will get crumbs and your freedoms lost thats what communism is all about.
Unions in America have destroyed America, they have way to much power and I believe that they are backed by communists to destroy America .I do believe at one time Unions were good and they helped bring child labor laws and fairness in the work place in America, but now I believe they are destroying a country by over spending on high wages, benefits even in a poor economy.I believe everything has to have checks and balances like Unions, governments, basicaly organizations with way to much power
I think the government was mismanaged like a business, the manager of that business spend more then his business brought in.Greece was mismanaged, waste, corruption, stupidity, people and companys cheating on there tax'es,greed, all have something to do with Greece's problem. It is the same in America, the government is spending more then it is bringing in.For the future of Greece the country has to live with in its means and over spending and waste has to be elminated.
In a Communist country you couldnt even march and protest against the government and you have no freedoms. What the heck you trust communist party for, they are evil.Maybe you should go live in China and see how much you like it,and if you want to complain you disappear in China.Just get rid of waste and political coruption and find ways to create new jobs by attracting forgein companys to bring jobs in Greece.I am sure there is alot of crooks in your government,so you think communism is better?
@kyriacos40 Actually the only way to create jobs by "bringing foreign companys" is to drop wages to the level of china. And you're not telling us what would happen with energy, water, health and education, how much we'd pay, it would be a nightmare. Also, isn't it strange that everybody seems to be spending more than he makes? Either the US are a "soviet" too, or this means that something is really wrong with the system and corrupt deals was just the catalyst for the greek economy to go bust.
@kyriacos40 The thing that's wrong is the parasitic financial system &when it went bust, we saved it with taxpayer's money so it could remain parasitic. We should have nationalized the parts that weren't involved in toxic bonds & let the rest die.
In other news: - China has CAPITALISM - The countries where you couldn't even march had some sort of authoritarian socialist bureaucracy, not communism & I do not aspire to live in something like that - US was doing good when capitalism was regulated
This is a great video! It tells the real bad - although unspoken so far - story about the leftist ideology that dominates the country and is devastating its economy. Bureaucracy, statism, mafia of syndicalism, organized violence of minority against the real change towards freedom. Meritocracy and corruption. "Freedom" as long as everybody has to become like everyone else. A third way to hell...
BRAVO!!!! The video tells the situation as it is! Unfortunately governments and bureaucracy created a soviet-style economy which collapsed! As it was collapsed in all communist countries 20-30 years ago... Now it's Greece's turn! Liberal Alliance presents a different view for the future of our country... Its time after this soviet era to move into capitalism! It's never too late!
@nassospapax If you name a "Soviet economy" where workers pay 35% tax while corporations pay 15%, ship owners pay NOTHING & the state pays bonuses of their employees, basic goods have huge VAT, petrol is the most expensive in the world, borrows 10 billions and spends 9 buying weapons from it's lender, or borrows 110 only to pay loans, thus increasing debt even further & while people suffer, cuts social services to give another 100 billions of taxpayer's money to banks, I will eat my own hair.
@VegetativeHorse Please eat it!!!!! Although your numbers are wrong lets use them: workers 35%, enterprenuers and companies 15%+35%! Owners and shareholders pay taxes on dividents! Plus tax in advance for next year!!!!! In USSR they had less taxes in private companies!!!!! HUGE state and 1/3 of working population is employed by the state and state owned enterprises!!!!! State employes get 30%-200% higher wages (excluding benefits) from private sector employes... (contin...>>
@VegetativeHorse cont..>>>> 70%-80% of annual state spending goes to puplic sector salaries and pensions! Fortunately only a small part goes for weapons and this should be limited to 0% :)... Previous years statistical growth was because of public spending for "developing" projects...!!!! Like Olympic 2004 buildings and stadiums that stay empty and untapped... What to say about state intervention to everything! Especially to economy and peoples private lives! (cont...>>>>
@nassospapax Schools & hospitals are closing, this policy causes recession & we keep borrowing money that go straight to paying loans. Why not study them and see & if they're legit? Public sector is indeed counter-productive and corrupt neoliberals are to blame, not "leftists". But that's your excuse to say "abolish it", as the only thing you wouldn't call "soviet" is Pinochet's wet dream, without socialized health, education, power, water & let people die as they did wherever IMF did the same.
@VegetativeHorse Sorry, yours are wrong. 600.000 people work on the public sector, way below the EU average. We're the only country were half tax revenue comes from taxes that are not income dependent. Tax rate for corporations is only comparable to banana republic, yet it went down every time the ruling party changed and now they admit not to collect billions of that anyway, then they wonder why there's a deficit and some blame the public sector. Of course they do, they want to buy it cheaply.
@VegetativeHorse 1. Corporate tax is 24% which is very close to the AVERAGE of OECD countries. Not even close to a "banana republic". 2. The Greek central government employs 768.000 employees according to the OFFICIAL census. If we add the estimated employs of local government (municipalitites, prefectures), then we have a cumulative of circa 1.100.000. That is more than 20% of the working force! Stop spreading inaccuracies please.
@niak888 Even military officials are involved in this number. Then EBEA (that demands privatizations) takes it and adds another 500.000, saying it comes from "estimates". EU comission's study named "The size and performance of public sector activities in Europe" says Greece comes 14th out of 17 EU countries with 11,4% working in the public sector and of course countries like Sweden have 30%, Denmark 29, France 21,2. Sorry that I'm not reproducing Michalos' propaganda but it's not a lie.
@VegetativeHorse Please try to be reasonable! The statistics from the Comission are part of the fabulous GREEK STATISTICS! We did not have an official number of employees in the public sector BEFORE the official CENSUS that took place 8 months ago. That census showed that we occupy 768.000 employees in CENTRAL government ALONE. That is 15,4% of the working force which is circa 5.000.000. Military officials are paid by the state as well. No reason to exclude them. These are facts, not propaganda!
@niak888 So adding "estimated" 500.000 isn't "Greek statistics", but contradicting EBEA, whose interests are against the public anyway is? That sensus came up with the same number we always new, a bit under 700.000. Yeah, no reason to count military officials, then say public sector is large and start closing down schools and hospitals, you're right, I'm unreasonable. Google ios, "ο λαγός του ΔΝΤ" if you want to see what they do, I'm fed up trying to get people to agree in what reality is.
@VegetativeHorse You know what people say: If you "torture" the data, eventually they will "speak"! I'm giving you the primary data, not from a source that may count other things. They are exactly what they say and nothing else. 768.000/5.000.000=15.4% WITHOUT the local government employees! GOT IT?
@niak888 And even if it was 15,4%, which it isn't, it would still be half of what we should be having, if our Prime Minister was indeed trying to turn us into Sweden or Denmark or something like that, as he used to say before was elected and before he started doing the exact opposites of what he promised in every single matter. I'm done trying to prove who's the liar here.
The Liberal Alliance is one of the very few RATIONAL voices in Greece today. Most negative comments on this video come from people who cannot think beyond populist leftist ideology or global conspirancies against the "mighty Greeks". We have never tried to think that this situation is mostly our fault. We are probably the only country in the Western world where both left and right wing are HEAVY STATISTS. This country is condemned from nobody else than its own inhabitants.
@niak888 Wow, your cliches almost made me forget that Greece was governed only by right¢er-wing neoliberals and while the "leftists" had been saying that the people were to be in trouble due to their economic policy, the media and political elites were telling them to shut up because the "mighty greeks" with their strong economy and their Olympics were doing just fine. If you want to accept personal blame for voting neoliberals who never taxed the capital, ok, but leave the left out of this.
@niak888 We don't have "statism" in Greece, we have state-sponsored capitalism, where the state intervenes in favor of big corporations, never in favor of the public. The left is asking for public health and education, which PASOK is abolishing while keeping the corruption in the public sector (see my comment below about Loverdos). If these people managed to combine the worst elements of statism and capitalism without any of the good ones, it certainly has nothing to do with "leftist ideology".
@VegetativeHorse We DO have statism in Greece because the State controls the largest part of the economy. What you call "state-sponsored capitalism", where the state intervenes in favor of big corporations is CORPORATISM and is strictly connected to a BIG STATE. It won't alter, unless we reduce the size of the state and its ability to intervene everywhere. Left parties have helped as they opposed every change that was ever to occur. They support all these MAFIA unions, like GENOP-DEI etc.
@niak888 I already said we combine the worse of the two. These guys who talk about statism and say we're a "soviet" are referring to the fact that we still have some social state going on instead of leaving all strategic sectors to unregulated capitalism. Not even neoliberals oppose state intervention anymore, the point is intervention in favor of whom. If I have to choose between this and the energy sector being controlled by guys like those in fukushima, I choose "statism" a thousand times.
@VegetativeHorse As for taxation, google Eleftherotypia and see for yourself "Διπλάσιο φόρο οι εργαζόμενοι (35%) από τα αφεντικά (16%)". Quoting and translating for our friends: "According to a study by ΟΟΣΑ (2009), the real taxation burden of workers in greece (35,1%, 2007) corresponds to the EU average (36,4%, 2006), while real taxation of profits is almost half of the EU average (15,9% instead of 33,0%)".
@VegetativeHorse We have a "Soviet" economy mainly because the state controls the largest part of the economy and less because most DEKO are controlled by the state. There is no such thing as "unregulated capitalism". The state legislates even in lessez-faire capitalism. The problem in Greece is CORPORATISM, not capitalism. It appears when the state has the power to favour a particular corporation. And even if capitalism has little to do with Fukushima, how about the state-controlled CHERNOBYL??
@niak888 Corporatism is to capitalism what fruits are to the trees. And what is it with privatizing electric, water companies etc? How do the citizens gain from giving something they own to someone else to make profit from? Seems it would be to the benefit of the people to buy energy, water, etc at cost prices, instead of having greedy bastards profiting from something they previously owned. Whats your argument as a liberal? And no i am not a fucking communist.
@sfaginx The prices we receive now are in energy are certainly NOT COST PRICES. OSE is now running at an annual deficit of 1 billion euros! You pay that through taxation! Remember what happened when other companies where able to enter the landline telephony business and compete with OTE. We are all getting cheaper and better services! ! That happens when STATE MONOPOLY evolves into OPEN COMPETITION under a certain regulating legislation (NO SUCH THING as "UNREGULATED CAPITALISM").
@niak888 No one denies the shitty situation the public companies are in. That doesnt mean we should change it to another shitty situation, Does it? Logic orders to rectify a problem, not say fuck it. OTE wasnt selling its services at cost prices, because it had to pay for its excessive workforce, and because the government took its profits and distributed them to their rich friends, as they do with any amount that goes through their hands.
@niak888 Stating the obvious, which is that we have a hugely inflated public sector does not make up for all their shitty arguments. This debt was created by the rich for the rich to profit from, and the poor people should pay nothing at all. We should start printing our own money and to hell with them all. You cant possibly argue with that. Or better yet, try. It will only further prove your detachment from reality.
@sfaginx "Printing our own money"-->> In a country that imports the majority of its primary goods? That's an interesting way of empoverishing more people and let the already poor to starve to death.
@niak888 Inflation is just another way of controlling people through the economy. If a country starts printing its own currency it can have ABSOLUT control over its represented value, and it could even go as far as having set prices. Making you economy self sufficient when it comes to food and energy is easy in the twenty first fucking century. Of course they would have you believe that all of this is impossible, and that we actually need ruthless immoral men regulating the economy for our sake.
@sfaginx Only totalitarian states have absolute control over their economy. After 3 years of starvation, yes it is kinda easy to become self-sufficient to some primary goods. (We import most of the corn and wheat we consume) Except for that I am led to believe their propaganda and that my arguements are laughable, do you REALLY have anything to add to this dialogue or have you answered EVERYONE here just to make fuss?
@niak888 I love it when people start pulling numbers from their ass to strengthen their point. Shows how weak your arguments are. 3 years of starvation. Thats a good one. Fuck corn and wheat. nobody died from lack of corn. Any kind of state can have any kind of control on anything -period. Just because you rush to label it as totalitarian, or communist, doesnt meant that it wouldnt be better than this shitty system. And i certainly DID answer to everyone to make A FUSS you idiot!
great job guys!! The situation in Greece is exactly the way it is presented in the documentary! No more leftist bullshits. If we want to survive in Greece we will have to face the reality an not hide behind myths and convenient lies!!
@P9p9P8 ADont mind P9p9P8. He is a member of the youth of the governing party. They are the only people who have the audacity to distort the facts so horribly and with no shame at all. Τον πουλο λαμογιο
Very well done. The liberal alliance is actually the new left as far as I can tell. They have the right ideea for a proper recovery for Greece FUTURE. Bankruptcy is not an option-haircut maybe. Some people think they are left but have no clue. Its like a football game to them.Just because your family was left during the 1940-70s doesnt make you one.If all this energy put into protesting was used to properly educate the next generation then Greece may actually function properly in the 21st century.
Poor analytic skills outcome simplification of a complicated situation. Debt is created on papers.. on nothing and those guys have no idea of their own reality. So sad that AJ presents them and not more sophisticated and analytical groups.
The hope of achieving a classless society is a unattainable pipe-dream and every attempt ever made historically by statists communists has only resulted in dreary dystopian societies and vicious state repression, the workers are politically Dispossessed in state Marxism-Leninism and the political elite through nepotism replace the great bourgeois as a much worse ruling class of sorts.
As for Anarchic communism , I can only foresee it either being a Ochlocratic majoritarian society.
The left is correct about the "usury" and dept money of the monetary system, if the money was not "created out of thin air as dept" the state and the public would be forced to spend more responsibly rather then continually borrowing more usury money.
In everything else the anarchists and statists communists are dangerously misguided and delusional.
@satv365 Shows who little you Know Greeks Most Greeks work two Jobs, Unfortunatly Like Most Countries Our Government Is Run By Free mason Jews and has been Hijaked by their world Banking system , the people Have nothing to do with their Talmud Kosher Bullshit and Kick ass Is Just round the Corner, Unlike Americans
who let their Government Grope Their Children and wives at airports and have striped them of Civil & Human Rights, It wont work in Greece.Your Comprehension of the New world Order Is O
You guys pls stop cursing. You are running out of dictators who help you strip AFRICA now you will have to learn to work for food and pay for your gasoline,Gold and other things you used to steal or take from the AFRICANS and pay the FUCKING AMERICANS to each time they suck your dicks.
@afrosnow100 whats Greece got to do with the African theft of oil and Gold, I could understandif you were replying to FrenchGermans ItaliansPortuguese and Spaniards.May beif we got rid of all the Albanians, Pakistanis and Africans, we wouldn't Have to worry about your Well fair in Greece and more money for our Health care and schools and inferstructure, Most Greeks Have two jobs we do not need TheEuro OrThe EuropeanUnion wenever didit was imposed onUs By The Same Criminals that are Raping Africa
@afrosnow100 What are you talking about? Greeks havent been in Africa since 350B.C. with alexander the great. Man you can really hold a grudge. Thats almost impressive. 2.350 years later cant you let go?
LOL History fail. You probably thought we were a colonial force.
this is not a freedom event...that is all about greek's laziness..produce anything, dont work enough and only trust EU.....greeks deserved it and this will continue until they will get rid of EU and their arrogance:)))
@ultraturkishdelight Wow, the "Greek lazies" shit again. Then how come the annual EU report says every single year that greeks work more hours for less money than anyone in the old europe? I get it, you are eager to prove that you've swallowed every single peace of propaganda you've been fed, but how about some facts instead of racist bullshit for a change?
@VegetativeHorse LOL i'm talking about just facts...do u believe that a country could survive with only cheap tourism??? in turkey here why do ur lovely rich greeks invest in turkey rather than their homeland???or why german industires dont comin' to greece even it is in eu??? it is a fact.............................................greeks only sit on the beach and make love lol lol lol not more..btw i'm not racist my half riot is from north greece:)))
@VegetativeHorse the report also reveals that despite working the most hours, we still have very low productivity. And usually, it is the result that makes the difference, not the effort.

and the family values. They are fans of Bildersberg and the New world order. They Are Thieves and Murderers Of The Greek People. The very people that they took the loans are the people that stole from Greece and suposedly they are the ones giving back the Greek peoples money on Credit with Interest The Biggest Fraud Scam in History. MOLON LABE !
@epsilon936 Idiots like you is the reason why real threats are being brushed off as conspiracy theories by the masses. Fuck your religion, and Zionophobia. Nobody cares about country and God. Its all about the money. Banks and coorporations have no God and no Country.
The Builderberg club, the masons, the bankers and the politicians of the world dont give a fuck about Kissingers 40 year old plan. They are more effective than ever.
@satv365 These political trolls base their reasoning in the belief this borrowed money were "eaten" by the people. The people whose tax money were used by politicians to bail banks out, enabling a banking crisis to hit the real economy as debt crisis. The people "ate it", paying 40% tax & huge indirect taxes for basic goods while capital pays 15%. The people's wages went up one time every 28 times GDP went up. There you go with who ate the money, but you'd never know that from AJ, would you.
@satv365 In any case, it's perfectly clear that the reporter endorses their view, promotes lies that are told in full conscience and tries to portray real protesters as ignorant conspiracy theorists. If you failed to realize this, I suggest that you refrain fron callilng other people's views idiotic. At least till you're able to find what's wrong with people claiming we should stop borrowing and then supporting this "memorandum".
@satv365 You know what's really idiotic? Failing to grasp the meaning of someone's words. The protesters' views & any solid facts behind why Greek economy was fucked are never documented in the media, that's the point. Only bankers, neoliberals and fake social democrats can be heard & now these guys, whose "views" are practically non-existent, simply because they're so absurd. Spare me the lesson about democracy. With this report, AJ gives guys like you what you'd like to believe to be true.
@satv365 Where do you live? I would guess you're from U.S. How did I guess it? Because of your profane oblivion about things happening in other countries. By the way if you belive that U.S. is in a better position let me know so I have a good laugh with my friends afterwards.
It's quite amusing to see all the coments here of superlibbies frothing at the mouth and cursing off AJE all for the "crime" of profiling a few Greek libertarians. I guess you do not want news or analysis, you just want propaganda that neatly fits your finely set talking points.
Not that anybody's heard of these guys, which is indicative of how keen Al Jazeera is at providing an unbiased account of greek public opinion, presenting the childish arguments and lies of 5 neoliberals without any care to show what the response of most of the people in greece, who realize that the memorandum is a criminal policy that keeps borrowing with worse terms in order to pay for odious loans of the past and ensure that we'll bankrupt without banks losing any money in the process.
Τhe geniuses of the "liberal alliance" "neglected" to mention that when the bill comes at the taverna, it writes what you ate and how much you are paying for it. So if we really "ate" it all together, why don't we set a comission that will review the Greek debt, tell us what it consists of and IF the people really "ate" the money, they pay, otherwise we call it "illegitimate debt" and refuse to do so? Cause that's what you do at the taverna or in a democratic society.
the future will be a classless society where workers are in charge of the companies they work in. these "liberal allience" is a bunch of traitors, its a shame aljazeera advertises their neoliberal propaganda.
@jose83h Nice to see the bots are here to sway the consensus. These people here are a minority of a minority and just plain idiots. They are liberals and don't know why.
Right wing, fascist, pretentious, no-it-all pricks. These are the preachings of the brain -damaged investor. All money is DEBT-BASED. Do you understand dickheads??? It means all money has to be burrowed in to existence. Ample money we thrive, close the money supply and we perish. However controls the money supply controls the nation. Oh and on average we work 700 hours more than the average German (rwf.gr). Τωρα που θα παρω το κεφαλαιο μου να παω αυστραλια να δω τι θα κανετε! RBE NOW
This group of DICKHEADS still don't realize it was the bankers, not the greek people who caused this financial mess. Yes it had nothing to do with derivative betting, thats why some EU countries suspended derivative betting when the crisis was going on. I'm starting to doubt this al jazeera network, who owns al jazeera? This is the second bullshit story this week. Why give a voice to people who are completely clueless to what is going on.

It is the same in America, the government is spending more then it is bringing in.For the future of Greece the country has to live with in its means and over spending and waste has to be elminated.
kyriacos40 10 months ago
In a Communist country you couldnt even march and protest against the government and you have no freedoms. What the heck you trust communist party for, they are evil.Maybe you should go live in China and see how much you like it,and if you want to complain you disappear in China.Just get rid of waste and political coruption and find ways to create new jobs by attracting forgein companys to bring jobs in Greece.I am sure there is alot of crooks in your government,so you think communism is better?
kyriacos40 10 months ago
@kyriacos40 Actually the only way to create jobs by "bringing foreign companys" is to drop wages to the level of china. And you're not telling us what would happen with energy, water, health and education, how much we'd pay, it would be a nightmare. Also, isn't it strange that everybody seems to be spending more than he makes? Either the US are a "soviet" too, or this means that something is really wrong with the system and corrupt deals was just the catalyst for the greek economy to go bust.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago
@kyriacos40 The thing that's wrong is the parasitic financial system &when it went bust, we saved it with taxpayer's money so it could remain parasitic. We should have nationalized the parts that weren't involved in toxic bonds & let the rest die.
In other news: - China has CAPITALISM - The countries where you couldn't even march had some sort of authoritarian socialist bureaucracy, not communism & I do not aspire to live in something like that - US was doing good when capitalism was regulated

VegetativeHorse 10 months ago
@VegetativeHorse Sorry, yours are wrong. 600.000 people work on the public sector, way below the EU average. We're the only country were half tax revenue comes from taxes that are not income dependent. Tax rate for corporations is only comparable to banana republic, yet it went down every time the ruling party changed and now they admit not to collect billions of that anyway, then they wonder why there's a deficit and some blame the public sector. Of course they do, they want to buy it cheaply.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 2

niak888 10 months ago
@VegetativeHorse 1. Corporate tax is 24% which is very close to the AVERAGE of OECD countries. Not even close to a "banana republic". 2. The Greek central government employs 768.000 employees according to the OFFICIAL census. If we add the estimated employs of local government (municipalitites, prefectures), then we have a cumulative of circa 1.100.000. That is more than 20% of the working force! Stop spreading inaccuracies please.
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 Even military officials are involved in this number. Then EBEA (that demands privatizations) takes it and adds another 500.000, saying it comes from "estimates". EU comission's study named "The size and performance of public sector activities in Europe" says Greece comes 14th out of 17 EU countries with 11,4% working in the public sector and of course countries like Sweden have 30%, Denmark 29, France 21,2. Sorry that I'm not reproducing Michalos' propaganda but it's not a lie.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 3
@VegetativeHorse Please try to be reasonable! The statistics from the Comission are part of the fabulous GREEK STATISTICS! We did not have an official number of employees in the public sector BEFORE the official CENSUS that took place 8 months ago. That census showed that we occupy 768.000 employees in CENTRAL government ALONE. That is 15,4% of the working force which is circa 5.000.000. Military officials are paid by the state as well. No reason to exclude them. These are facts, not propaganda!
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 So adding "estimated" 500.000 isn't "Greek statistics", but contradicting EBEA, whose interests are against the public anyway is? That sensus came up with the same number we always new, a bit under 700.000. Yeah, no reason to count military officials, then say public sector is large and start closing down schools and hospitals, you're right, I'm unreasonable. Google ios, "ο λαγός του ΔΝΤ" if you want to see what they do, I'm fed up trying to get people to agree in what reality is.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 2

This country is condemned from nobody else than its own inhabitants.
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 Wow, your cliches almost made me forget that Greece was governed only by right¢er-wing neoliberals and while the "leftists" had been saying that the people were to be in trouble due to their economic policy, the media and political elites were telling them to shut up because the "mighty greeks" with their strong economy and their Olympics were doing just fine. If you want to accept personal blame for voting neoliberals who never taxed the capital, ok, but leave the left out of this.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 4
@niak888 We don't have "statism" in Greece, we have state-sponsored capitalism, where the state intervenes in favor of big corporations, never in favor of the public. The left is asking for public health and education, which PASOK is abolishing while keeping the corruption in the public sector (see my comment below about Loverdos). If these people managed to combine the worst elements of statism and capitalism without any of the good ones, it certainly has nothing to do with "leftist ideology".
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 13
@VegetativeHorse We DO have statism in Greece because the State controls the largest part of the economy. What you call "state-sponsored capitalism", where the state intervenes in favor of big corporations is CORPORATISM and is strictly connected to a BIG STATE. It won't alter, unless we reduce the size of the state and its ability to intervene everywhere. Left parties have helped as they opposed every change that was ever to occur. They support all these MAFIA unions, like GENOP-DEI etc.
niak888 10 months ago 2
@niak888 I already said we combine the worse of the two. These guys who talk about statism and say we're a "soviet" are referring to the fact that we still have some social state going on instead of leaving all strategic sectors to unregulated capitalism. Not even neoliberals oppose state intervention anymore, the point is intervention in favor of whom. If I have to choose between this and the energy sector being controlled by guys like those in fukushima, I choose "statism" a thousand times.
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago
@VegetativeHorse As for taxation, google Eleftherotypia and see for yourself "Διπλάσιο φόρο οι εργαζόμενοι (35%) από τα αφεντικά (16%)". Quoting and translating for our friends: "According to a study by ΟΟΣΑ (2009), the real taxation burden of workers in greece (35,1%, 2007) corresponds to the EU average (36,4%, 2006), while real taxation of profits is almost half of the EU average (15,9% instead of 33,0%)".
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 5
@VegetativeHorse We have a "Soviet" economy mainly because the state controls the largest part of the economy and less because most DEKO are controlled by the state. There is no such thing as "unregulated capitalism". The state legislates even in lessez-faire capitalism. The problem in Greece is CORPORATISM, not capitalism. It appears when the state has the power to favour a particular corporation. And even if capitalism has little to do with Fukushima, how about the state-controlled CHERNOBYL??
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 Corporatism is to capitalism what fruits are to the trees. And what is it with privatizing electric, water companies etc? How do the citizens gain from giving something they own to someone else to make profit from? Seems it would be to the benefit of the people to buy energy, water, etc at cost prices, instead of having greedy bastards profiting from something they previously owned. Whats your argument as a liberal? And no i am not a fucking communist.
sfaginx 10 months ago
@sfaginx The prices we receive now are in energy are certainly NOT COST PRICES. OSE is now running at an annual deficit of 1 billion euros! You pay that through taxation! Remember what happened when other companies where able to enter the landline telephony business and compete with OTE. We are all getting cheaper and better services! ! That happens when STATE MONOPOLY evolves into OPEN COMPETITION under a certain regulating legislation (NO SUCH THING as "UNREGULATED CAPITALISM").
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 No one denies the shitty situation the public companies are in. That doesnt mean we should change it to another shitty situation, Does it? Logic orders to rectify a problem, not say fuck it. OTE wasnt selling its services at cost prices, because it had to pay for its excessive workforce, and because the government took its profits and distributed them to their rich friends, as they do with any amount that goes through their hands.
Your argument is laughable.
sfaginx 10 months ago
@niak888 Stating the obvious, which is that we have a hugely inflated public sector does not make up for all their shitty arguments. This debt was created by the rich for the rich to profit from, and the poor people should pay nothing at all. We should start printing our own money and to hell with them all. You cant possibly argue with that. Or better yet, try. It will only further prove your detachment from reality.
sfaginx 10 months ago
@sfaginx "Printing our own money"-->> In a country that imports the majority of its primary goods? That's an interesting way of empoverishing more people and let the already poor to starve to death.
PS: Have you ever heard of INFLATION?
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 Inflation is just another way of controlling people through the economy. If a country starts printing its own currency it can have ABSOLUT control over its represented value, and it could even go as far as having set prices. Making you economy self sufficient when it comes to food and energy is easy in the twenty first fucking century. Of course they would have you believe that all of this is impossible, and that we actually need ruthless immoral men regulating the economy for our sake.
sfaginx 10 months ago
@sfaginx Only totalitarian states have absolute control over their economy. After 3 years of starvation, yes it is kinda easy to become self-sufficient to some primary goods. (We import most of the corn and wheat we consume) Except for that I am led to believe their propaganda and that my arguements are laughable, do you REALLY have anything to add to this dialogue or have you answered EVERYONE here just to make fuss?
niak888 10 months ago
@niak888 I love it when people start pulling numbers from their ass to strengthen their point. Shows how weak your arguments are. 3 years of starvation. Thats a good one. Fuck corn and wheat. nobody died from lack of corn. Any kind of state can have any kind of control on anything -period. Just because you rush to label it as totalitarian, or communist, doesnt meant that it wouldnt be better than this shitty system. And i certainly DID answer to everyone to make A FUSS you idiot!

@Obasiliasfilosofos Any chances for individualistic anarchy? Do tell us now, dont hold us in suspense.
sfaginx 10 months ago
The left is correct about the "usury" and dept money of the monetary system, if the money was not "created out of thin air as dept" the state and the public would be forced to spend more responsibly rather then continually borrowing more usury money.
In everything else the anarchists and statists communists are dangerously misguided and delusional.

VegetativeHorse 10 months ago
@satv365 In any case, it's perfectly clear that the reporter endorses their view, promotes lies that are told in full conscience and tries to portray real protesters as ignorant conspiracy theorists. If you failed to realize this, I suggest that you refrain fron callilng other people's views idiotic. At least till you're able to find what's wrong with people claiming we should stop borrowing and then supporting this "memorandum".
VegetativeHorse 10 months ago 2
@satv365 You know what's really idiotic? Failing to grasp the meaning of someone's words. The protesters' views & any solid facts behind why Greek economy was fucked are never documented in the media, that's the point. Only bankers, neoliberals and fake social democrats can be heard & now these guys, whose "views" are practically non-existent, simply because they're so absurd. Spare me the lesson about democracy.
