hey im trying to get a xj for my first car and want to know some great begginer trails in colorado that will still challenge me but a stock or semi stock xj can handle

Try TrailDamage website. I can't type it here, you know dot c... It has an extensive list of trails in CO, it gives difficulty ratings, walk throughs, named obstacles, etc. It also has Google Maps tracks, these trails are not roads on Google maps, so if you download the tracks, you can see how to take the trails on google maps, and if you have an Android smart phone, you can follow them along with GPS. I live in WA, and want to try some stuff in CO.

great video...liked the teamwork the spotters showed to the drivers! good on you! too many post videos of idiots laughing at someone wreching their truck. hope the trail stays open for you. here in alberta we have lost a lot of 4x4 and atv trails due to the misuse of some and the vast numbers of ppl crowding the trails. a lot of sensitive areas now off limits to any motorized vehicles. any fish bearing streams, rivers illegal to cross.

Wow... the scenery is something i've never seen before. And this is some incredible off-roading, excellent job. I want an XJ so bad, i'm going to try to get one by spring. I would love to live in a place like this where there are trails that are so insane! Great video, so much to say about it but not enough room!

Best trail in Colorado. It's scary, difficult, and absolutely beautiful. The reward is earned. Be extra kind to our hiker friends and tread lightly :). Losing this trail would be a tragedy. Nice vids by the way.

Not too many worries here. I tried it last year with the Creeper Jeepers. I broke a rear axle on Jaws 3 and had to be shuttled up to camp. I drove down broken. Every year, the club goes up and does trail maintenance to help keep us in the good with the FS.

That Creeper Jeepers gang are saints. They maintain 2 of the country's greatest, most dangerous, and most threatened (for closure) 4x4 roads. That is a tough job. Props to Creeper Jeepers :) Good luck with your adventure on Blanca.

holy crap...did you roll past three hikers...one taking a nap in the middle of the trail? THAT WAS US! hahaha...no, seriously, our roadtrip driver (from Dallas) was so whipped he fell asleep while we were taking a break, and a group of crawlers came through...first one alerting us that one behond was rolling "without power!"...I assume they meant he was broken and didn't have brakes...Anyway, next time we will thumb a ride for a large tip to get to the lake for our summit hike. Great job!
