@ransisua - think about it for a second. Any respectable audio engineer wouldn't dare use any of the mixer features or plugins available in those programs, since they have expensive emulations and actual outboard gear. So for a company to spend money on bells and whistles in a drum program is ridiculous. If the company's budget is $1000, why would they knowingly spend $500 on bells and whistles. SSD4 spends $900 on the sound, $100 on the bells and whistles. Proper spending.
@ransisua - I have both. Trust me, SSD is the best. SSD doesn't have expansions because all those 'expansions' come standard with the regular version. How many kits do you get with BFD2 or SD2 standard? I think BFD2 is 3 and SD2 is 4 right? SSD comes with 100. Here's the best part about it - SSD doesn't focus on the bells and whistles, it focuses on the velocity levels and sample quality. The others have all sorts of little 'plugins' to play with to give you a little of many rather than quality.
@maxmedeiros Hey, thanks! BFD2 is the best sounding drum plugin I've tried, although it needs some adjusting with eq and stuff. I have a E-MU 1820 soundcard that I bought in 2004, you could probably find something just as good or better nowadays. The latency can be set as low as 2ms but I use 5ms since it's probably more stable and I can't tell the difference anyway.
@ransisua No it's TD3. I've mounted it under the toms; you can see a little red light there. I used a Y-cable to get an extra tom, and both the crashes have the same triggers.

@09jlardinois Superior Drummer 2.3 is better. Also BFD2 and SD2.3 has so many expansions.
