  • I bet everyone checked google for the beatles picture which they wont find. I checked even though i'm a beatles fanatic myself.

  • @HarveyBacktheBeatles He probably had a false memory. I've had those-for example, I thought I had seen the movie "Crazy Stupid Love", but I hadn't.

  • 1:06 How quickly he forgot John Carpenter.

  • @YamiSatoshi Regis was referring to the clock format of the show.

  • @alster724 Ah -- that makes sense then.

  • I wish I had that question for a million dollars. I would have go it when Regis asked the question! :)

  • Regis's reaction sounds kinda anticlimactic, he should have waited and allow suspense to grow...

  • I actually knew this answer and felt terrible for the guy. I read it in a presidential facts book.

  • he looks ABSOLUTELY GUTTED

  • 6:00 PWNED.

  • That's what happens when you're greedy and arrogant!!

  • Has anyone thought of what would be his reaction if he had won instead?

  • i knew that one

  • Where the hell is this guys scar...

  • @TheHouhouhouhou He doesn't have a lightning bolt scar. He's scarred emotionally..."Harry Potter and the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."

  • not bad bro thats how much he would have got after taxes anyways

  • thats what greed does to a man...

  • 5:58 - HEARTBROKEN!

  • not the worst money drop ever. don't believe me? ask daniel avila how much he lost on "greed."

  • @sbpinkous88 He lost $200,000.

  • @lucyrickyalex whoops. i forgot. i thinking how much daniel could have won.

  • @lucyrickyalex yeah with no guarenteed money

  • @lucyrickyalex

Actually, he lost $3.2 million. He came back on a special losers' episode. He won the right to play for $1 million, and lost again after blowing a question for $2.2 million.

  • 8/23/09 Never Forget :(

  • This guy is going to be a lawyer, or already is one ?!

I am glad he lost. Lawyers suck!

  • He missed $475,000. PEANUTS!!111

  • What a great looking character (no homo), but HEY he sounds like he is smart enough to make that amount of money one day in earning it anyway!

  • 3:33 he interrupts regis, and regis sighs lol

  • He should have just taken the 500.000, but he was greedy. It's tragic, really. One moment he thinks 500.000 ain't enough, the next - he leaves with 25.000.

  • @ZoranaDeLioncourt Easy to say afterwards. If you risk winning an additional 500k or losing 475k and you feel you're more than 50% certain of the correct answer, you'll want to go for the million. His instinct was backed by the audience and he recognized this as a once in a lifetime opportunity so he went ahead and played. A very courageous move that gave him the publicity that may have helped his career.

  • I am from Sweden and I guessed on FRESCA when I saw the question.

  • the wrong sound played lol

  • That serves him right. Should have left at 500k.

  • he said "peanuts" u funny little bugger

  • regis sooo enjoyed that

  • I swear to god if i got that high in that game show n lose im just goin pull out a gun and be like "I'm Not Leaving With Out My Money Nigga"

  • Man that sucks for him

  • Blame it on the audience. He admitted to not knowing it form the beginning. Trivia like that would be part of pop culture, and who better to know pop culture than the general population, which of course makes up the audience.

  • no thats not the final answer in other words YOUR FUCKED

  • he was being a little bit arrogant though

  • Comment removed

  • I knew the answer too. Took the tour of the Ranch in Stonewall, TX. Millionaire will have to be even craftier to get me.

  • I knew this answer!!

  • Got what was coming to you cocky asshole.

  • 15% of the audience voted on the correct answer..

  • Why did Danielle Radcliffe need to go on millionaire?

  • He looks kinda like Daniel Radcliffe.

  • omg really? dude Lyndon Johnson's favorite drink of all time was Fresca! He made such a fuss about it that he even installed a fountain (A MACHINE NOT THAT FUCKING WATER FOUNTAIN) of it in the White House

  • Would have been nice if he hadn't wasted the double dip on the Gremlins question. Although he probably would have used it on the Grace Kelly question regardless.

  • That was the dumbest 1 million dollar question I ever heard. Ken should sue these bastards for writing that!

  • Too bad there's no 50:50 to help him.

  • LMFAO @ 6:05 the lady screaming "WHAT???????"

  • epic fail.. you can see the smugness vanish off his face

  • this guy is a lawyer isnt he? he can sue all the people who call him an diot

  • IDIOT! I would have just taken it!

  • C - Final answer give me a million dollars...

Yeah ok, but itll be in pink 50s

  • What an idiot

  • Why did regis yell "penis" at 0:21?

  • @sinnerssoul302 PEANUTS!

  • @sinnerssoul302 haha

  • @sinnerssoul302

    You mean 0:20?

  • correct me if im wrong, but i do believe this is the first time (on the american version) that someone went for it on the million dollar question and missed, which is why we never heard that sound before when he realized he lost, they had that sound on the millionaire computer game when u went for a million and missed

  • Paused at 2:02, I'd like to guess C for giggles.

  • be fair to him, it was the audiences fault!

  • @the8thpie AUDIENCES CAN JUST FUCK OFF! IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE FUCKING QUESTION DON'T VOTE! BESIDES IF I WAS IN THAT SEAT I WON'T GO WITH THE AUDIENCE BECAUSE IT A NASTY TRICK AND YOU WILL LOSE $468,000!

  • @Balraj50 Never listen to somebody who talks in all caps as if they're a God.

  • Regis was wrong. No one was waiting for this million dollar moment.

  • i love the fact that he lost..he deserved the loss...you don't play for a million when you don't know the answer..that's just damn stupid

  • @yahoopl3 well you dont know the question until you decide to take it or not so unless you know what the question's gonna be it's just a risk

  • What would he have won if the clock ran out? $25,000 or $500,000?

  • @ngarcia103 $500,000.

  • @ngarcia103 500k no doubt

  • FYI, I believe this is the first time ever that someone blew it on the million dollar question. My jaw hit the floor when he got it wrong. The look on his face was priceless.

  • Cocky bastard. That should have taught him a lesson in arrogance.

  • he looks cocky

  • @Kluuz He also sounds and acts cocky.

  • PEANUTS

  • lol wtf fresca? i thought v8 haha no kidding

  • wdf kind of a question is this?

  • Even though he didn't win, this guy is awesome. Wish he'd be my lawyer.

  • crazy, I would never have guessed!!

  • what a donk, should've took the 500k and gambled it in vegas with better odds, gg

  • I wish they'd bring Who Wants to be a Millionaire back for atleast one weekly show with Regis. It was insanely popular back when it first game on, but it was like 3 nights a week, and people quickly burnt out of it, making it's run short lived.

  • A. Fresca final answer

  • I can't believe you are calling him an idiot! He got to a million! Who the hell goes around knowing the answer to that question anyways? It's a real stupid question.

  • @MartinGimnaes why risk half a million on a guess??

  • @MartinGimnaes It's not that he didn't know the answer. It's because he wasn't sure about it at all and still went for it. True idiot

  • First of all, I'm telling the truth. I knew the answer was Fresca right away because I was reading what are the U.S. Presidents favorite foods on the internet a couple of weeks before this aired.. It's amazing what you can learn on the internet.

  • @MartinGimnaes well that's WHY he was an idiot.. if he judged the circumstances and chose to walk away with 500k instead, then he would have made the right choice. Instead, he gambled double or nothing

  • "CircusJaximus": So you're saying he's not an idiot for not knowing the answer. He's an idiot for not making the right decision.

  • @MartinGimnaes How can you not know that it is A) Fresca? Obviously it cannot be V8 because that stuff is recent. A&W is just plain wrong. Yoo-Hoo just barely started during that time if I am correct. So if anyone was smart enough to know that, and especially him who went to LAW SCHOOL, he should've gotten it correct. I don't even go to law school and I knew that. It would be pretty obvious that it is Fresca and the fact that this arrogant faggot acted like that Whatev's.

  • @hcrtoothy yeah i can say i know the answer after i watched the video as well. and A&W is a very popular beverage

  • not really. he knew he was taking a risk and he happend to lose, hes not stupid just has a lot of balls.

  • That one hurt.

  • Love the beginning. "PEANUTS!!"

  • Poor ken.

  • Did he say "fuck you" at the end?

  • shit thats a big lost! see the disappointment in his face. poor guy.

  • Who would actually know the answer to this sort of question? If anyone actually knew what LBJ's favorite drinks were before this question was shown then that would make it look like that person knew too much information about LBJ.

  • is that ntv7? why is it on ntv7?

  • No, I recorded this from KSWO-TV, the ABC affiliate for Lawton, Oklahoma. Apparently, they have similar logos.

  • lol. ok. similar indeed.

  • I feel so bad, he looks so embarrassed.

  • when did regis come back???

  • Unfornutely he was very cocky and I think he deserved it, I have a feeling he gambled the whole way through

  • Since he was a good player who did something no one else has done, it wouldn't surprise me if they brought him back for a special episode someday. They brought back $0 winners once, so why not the guy who missed the million?

  • One guy in Japan became the first contestant ever to answer the final question wrong once, and later return again, and win the top prize. It would be awesome if Ken is the second one to do that.

  • Yeah... I was wondering why they would plan it so far in advance.

Now that makes sense. But thank goodness they decided to do that after this... disaster!

  • Well, at least he gets some sort of consolation unlike Dan Avila.

  • He said that it was the first time that for a million dollar question somebody had the audience still intact. Didn't Lyn Payne have it for hers too?

  • And Bernie Cullen, who also used it, and John Carpenter, who didn't need to.

  • Wow, Regis is an idiot! Lol!

  • Regis just wanted to make it more dramatic with the audience still being intact.

  • Regis just CAN'T end his Millionaire career like this! Please give him another chance, ABC!

  • Well at least he didn't look foolish by missing his own question.

  • imagine if the audience didn't vote lol

  • If the audience didn't vote, he would have probably walked away because he wasn't that sure to begin with. Since most of the audience voted for C, he probably felt that he was destined to win the million dollars. That is just my theory.

  • it was retorical duh....

  • H e went to fast! He actually thought the audience was right?! People have trusted the audience in the higher questions and they have almost always been wrong! He also should have taken advantage of the time he had!

  • Well, he probably never would have thought of Fresca, but what I heard him say.

  • I wish there was a button for the auidence to say don't know

  • @AbhiB Or just do what Jack Black did, and say "I really hope that only those who know this respond, and that the others don't!"

Do you think they'd let you do that?

  • If Ken Basin ever wondered what he would look like on national television after he was raped in the ass with a pineapple, I think it's safe to say he found out.

  • Including extreme popularity on YouTube.

  • No, just you teamguido555.

  • Dan was MUCH more gutsy than this guy (Dan threw away an entire million with his loss!)

  • Actually he just lost $200,000. Remember in Greed you had to split the money with your teammates. His 2 other teammates each had $400,000.

  • Yes, That is 100% TRUE,,,But yes, Dan Avila was the most guisest player in game show history he is and always will be my favorite game show contestent besides Curtis Warren !! :D...Who'd know that damn Tuna would cost Dan the whole package

  • I know Dan Avila was the bravest conestant in game show history. I'm just trying to say that Ken Basin lost more money.

  • Peanut butter you moron. It was peanut butter.

  • No it wasnt you asshole he said peanut in his answers and it was right !! go search Greed Dan Avila and you will see him playing for 2.2 Million the correct answers he gave was Coffee, Peanut Butter, and Vicks Vaporub, and he said Tuna but it was wrong and it was Chocolate !! get your facts right asshole

  • EPIC FAIL!!!

    So tense...

  • I'm craving a Fresca.

  • bb 470,000$

  • I think the question gave a hint to the answer....one of the 3 buttons was COKE, which should have given him the hint that LBJ was a soda fan, so when I saw the answers, I naturally reduced it down to A and D, but still, a sad moment in US Millionaire history, first one to LOSE on 15th Question.

  • there was tea and coffee

  • yarh, it's always makes a lot of sense in hindsight -_-

  • One thing I'll say is that it took long enough for this to happen in the US. It's happened elsewhere, but it's a first here.

  • Guess what? Someone in Japan actually did this before him this year. On April 1 2009, Yuji Tanaka answered the final question wrong in the Japanese edition.

  • Actually, I believe the count is 40 Japanese contestants have blown the final question. (Which makes no sense to me as the threshold is Y1M, the 14th q is worth Y7.5, and the final is worth Y10M.)

  • Well, it's true that there're about 40 Japanese contestants answer the final question wrong. Despite 1 of them did that on April 2009, there will be more of them coming right up soon.

  • You think they will ever have a winner again?

  • I don't know. Maybe. I just hope we don't get another contestant to screw up on the last question.

  • I even e-mailed the network about it, but they gave me the 'too much e-mail to personally reply' excuse.

Anyone got contact to anyone who's currently involved with the show?

  • The word of the day is ZANNEN!

  • What's Zannen?

  • its japanese for incorrect

  • You are wrong in Japanese.

  • Probably.

  • retard

  • 10 years ago, we all wondered who will win a million dollars? Around that time man named Dan Avila gave everyone watching a near heart attack by missing a obscure info question.

Flash forward to 2009 and Ken Basin is in the hot seat. He is a very smart man and a very risky man too. I don't think we should label him the idiot of the year, we should think of him as just a guy overcome by greed and desire to make history. 5 star moment there. Something we will be talking about for weeks to come.

  • Actually, he'd made history just by winning $500,000, because no one had done that yet with the clock.

And I don't think he was greedy, he just really thought it was the answer and maybe he'd win a million dollars, but it turned out that he didn't. He's a risk taker, that's all.

  • LOL FAIL

  • ITT: you laugh you lose

  • That kid had some balls. Sir, I salute you!

  • FUKKEN TROLLS IN THE AUDIENCE !

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • epic lawl

  • He did damn good. And I'd like to see anyone who laughed at him get to the million dollar question.

  • I knew it and I laughed

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... and HA

  • lol, I laughed...this guy made himself look like an ass

  • that's the first person to miss the million dollar question on the US version. Ken did really well though.

  • PEANUTS!

  • OWNED! but he did good
