If you look at the culture, the TV shows of the period and the cars of that era, the "groovy 60s" didn't really end until about 1972.
Bewitched lasted until then, the "real" Vista Cruiser stuck around until that year (in 1973, the car was redesigned without skylights) and the "hippie" culture didn't start to fade out until then.
The entire series was summed up in the first 1:35. Serena, mod music, cottontop, with-vs-mortal culture. Great episode.
