  • Go down onto Norton Road (Blackboards) and look up towards St Michaels and tell me that does not look beautiful on a Summer's day. Red roofs. Interesting town in that nearly forty years ago the CofE gave a Church to the Catholics, good move.

  • beautifull and quietlly town i like it

  • We should have the full 25 minute video about Malton town centre on here very soon - had a few technical difficulties but hope to get this on by Monday 8th September.

  • I'd develop the riverside, dredge it for boats to use and make a plaza and walkway with cafes etc. Free parking all day every day and keep the cattle market adding a new roof. Foreign Food markets are good ideas but more shops are a bad idea.

Save existing character & make Malton distinctive developing areas like the riverside to add substance.

More parks or play areas always brings families in. The area behind Wentworth Street where they're building houses would have been ideaL.

  • I would keep the cattle market as something that gives character and difference to Malton. Just renew the roof etc.

Then add to the identity of the place by doing something with the riverside area - dredge it so boats can go along - make a plaza/cafe area etc.

The foreign food markets are a good idea to build on. Finally make the parking free all day every day in the market place.

More shops misses the point & risks the character of Malton. No idea what this video adds other than cost.

  • Malton.. hopes some thing good will come out of this meeting, all talk no action is the normal.
