These songs are almost pretty good!! expect from Macedonia, Hungary and a little from Denmark!! But especially Romania, Israel, Germany should have qualified!!

@EurovisionFan2010 Well I'm an ESC fan of the year 1996 and to be honest the ONLY song from the rejected ones that should have been qualified was Denmark. The quality of all the entries presented in 96 was AWSOME great great song. And Germany in my opinion would just sound out of place and weird to ear techno pop. I don't mind listening to in on VIVA but not on Eurovision. The songs would make more sence today but not then!

I completely disagree. The Romanian entry was such a lovely thing. Maybe a little too old-fashioned in 1996, but I love it anyway :)
