congrats on your weight loss. It's a daily struggle! I recently started my atkins diet a month ago and I have lost 24 lbs. The calorie diet wasn't affective for me, so I cut out my carbs and the weight is falling off fast.
To join a challenge you simply hear about it and go watch the video. Usually all the instructions are in the video, and usually entail PMing the leader of the challenge, etc.. The Lucky 7's Challenge is halfay over, but there's a new challenge starting Aug 1st. I'll PM you with the video if I can find it... :)
Yeah... I tried that approach, but I feel too out of control that way. I like eating my regular calories each day and exercising and seeing how it's effecting my weight. I drink the same amount of water a day, so it's interesting to see how little changes in my diet will help or hinder me :) For example, eating salads and replacing my morning coffee with green tea have made me lose weight faster. Drinking a beer makes me gain for a day or two :) I like knowing that stuff. Thanks for the sub! :D
Your body is naturally 60-80% water weight. A properly hydrated person, therefore, takes in water and pees out water and stays about the same amount of weight all along. However, if you eat a lot of salt (more than you normally would), your body will "retain water" to bond with the salt so it can flush out of your system. A bag of potato chips will make me retain about 5 Lbs of water for 3-4 days! Some salt is good - too much is bad :)
wow! you look wonderful! I can see a huge difference in your face! doing great! i just came back from san fran and im almost positive i gained a few pounds:( oh well, a steady, slow, consistent, and realistic view and execution is the only true path to a healthier and thinner self
AGH well, vacations do that ;) Most of your weight gain is probably water because when I went to CA I gained 9 Lbs in that week but within 11 days I was back down to my pre-vacation weight. Once you fall into a normal schedule it'll fall right off :) Good luck!
you are really having steady loss. that is good. i ruminate about your water video. thanks for posting that. i have been focusing more on my hydration as well.
Why don't you weigh yourself everyday and then just use whichever weight is the lowest as your official weigh in amount (instead of picking a certain day of the week)? :)
I do the exact same thing girl... I've always weighed myself daily. Can't break old habits...lol When I don't see that much of a difference throughout the week, it discourages me a little, but then I fail to look at how I've done over a longer period of time. I'm glad that you see your success and it gives you a better picture. Keep up the awesome work. I'm glad I stumbled upon your videos :)
You confused the heck out of me. I honestly couldn't follow what you were talking about. All I know is that you had a smile on your face the entire time and that you're super close to 30 lbs loss. Fortunately, you being happy is all I need to know.
So...yay you!
I know you'll achieve that 30 pound loss come Wednesday and hit 179 in only a couple weeks time.
You are doing great! I am so happy to see you happy. You look fantastic! Keep it up and remember this feeling for reference. I know that you are excited and all the working out is paying off. This stuff is what makes me want to get off my arse. Seeing others happy about the "results" of exercise. 180's WOOOHOOOT <3 (copycat but I think that is cute and a good way to letya know ur special!)
LOL, everyone does <3. No copying is involved :P I MUST remember this feeling - thank you :) I just needed to look at the solid progression of numbers to realize that I really AM losing weight and that I am doing good :P Thanks!!

You look really good, keep it up! And I hate periods, they really mess up your weight reading!
Also, how do you join challenges?

Friday is a good day only because you normally eat a lot more calories on saturdays so giving it a lot of time to get it off is good
