Jeje. Nicole Kidman es buena actriz, pero aquí el mérito es el poder y la fuerza dramática de la maravillosa música wagneriana. En otras cosas, qué terrible es ver una película doblada. Horror !!!
Great films and Wagner keep me happy, when I'm a bit down.
When I saw how Jonathan Glazer had combined (i) Wagner's music & drama on stage with (ii) Nicole's internal psychodrama, and (iii) the teasing ambiguity of just who this kid is....
....well, I was breathless.
For the duration of the close-up on Nicole, ones sensuous comprehension is held in an iron vice. Freewill suspended. Emotion and revelation poured into ones being.
A wonderful scene. Nicole Kidman is stunning in this. Though (and it's a minor observation) I don't know of a major opera house where latecomers would be allowed in the auditorium after the overture had started!
...Hurried away by a paper-thin (though plump) fool who does not understand her. Wagner's music evokes breathless evasion and relentless pursuit. On stage Siegmund is about to seek shelter in Sieglinde's house. The two feel electric attraction. Internally, Kidman's mind races. Is this fantasy, is she deluding herself, can she love this boy? The hypnotic repetive rhythm matches the obssesiveness of thought. Her concentration is broken - fleetingly - by something she pays no attention to....
... The smuck wannabe husband is quite outside her world. Probably drivelling about some self-serving nonsense as to how the kid won't bother her again. just as we saw him making love with her but not really at one with her. She plunges again into the crisis of her feelings. Brilliant! This is first-class film making. High intelligence and passion. Love it!

Maravillosa la actuación de esta mujer y proverbial el uso de la música de Wagner!

Unglaublich, welche Spannung durch die Streicher aufgebaut wird. Passt perfekt zur Szene.

By far, the most moving scene from the movie, and probably the best since that plastic bag scene in American Beauty.
Tus ideas?
