hey man, great tutorials.

I have built a pretty solid website using Photoshop templates (templates I made) and importing them into Dreamweaver. I was just asking you, as I am getting closer to finishing my site, if there is any way to add rollovers to buttons if I created the site through Photoshop? If there is a way to do it, could you let me know how, or connect me to a video that explains that?

HEy spidermaii, did you hand code it or did you just export it from photoshop and keep it as it is. To make your buttons rollover all you need to do is apply that graphic to a hover. will look something like this

a:hover {

background:url(images/hoverima­ge.jpg)

}

Hey saladbowl12, thanks for the comment. It all depends on the template but yeh it is all ver much the same. Choosing the areas you want and getting them sliced. The more you play with it the more you will see that it is really all very similar

Hey saladbowl12, thanks for your comment. You can slice templates for everything. wordpress,blogger, zencart, joomla, myspace. The only difference is that they all have different syntax and coding rules

Thanks so much. I've been watching your tutorials from your website just because its easier to sort out in there. You're great dude. And not boring at all to listen to.

I've got one a problem though, i'm using fireworks 8 and it's been a pain in the but to figure out the logic of the program and stuff.. when i sliced some hover butons it didn't save the "over" buttons in the image folder and so it didn't work on dreamweaver (i'm using dreamweaver 8 aswell) what's going on?

Hey miswolfi, thanks for your comment. normally you have to slice them 2 times, once for the normally button and then slice the hover button. The reason it does not do both is because it can only see one graphic at a time so does not know you want both. Let me know how you get on

cant get drop down box in code page of style sheet. typed in header then the two brackets but dont get drop down box when typing in margin.
