The French fan site - U2 France - did the same operation but with red fluos to shake over our head, just after the One song, and just when the band came back. It was a present to the band to show them how we sustained their involvement into humanitarian organizations, especially in the RED organization, which is why the red fluos !

White was for the One campaign for the last tour. Shouldn't we be waving Red for the Red Campaign? Which campaign are they promoting this tour?

I think One campaigne is with them on tour as well. Furthermore white is a typicall U2 colour.
