1st of this video isnt needed since people get their info of their products from their webstores. 2nd of is that Shimano should switch name to SHITmano since their hubs sucks b*lls, not light at all and the fact that they are still at square 1 and useing loose ballbearings is a discrase. YEWCK!
Should of bought a chris king rear hub. The free hub on shimano's need replacing and cost like 40 to 50 bucks to replace. A chris king just needs the ring drive relubed and the internal bearings. I had a old xt rear hub from 2004 and it was junk compared to when I bought a iso disc chris king hub for my cannondale.
just because it doesn't have cartridge bearings doesn't mean it's not sealed.
in fact, the "seal" on most cartrige bearings is mostly to keep air out. it won't keep dirt or water out, thats why most cartridge bearing hubs have primary seals before the bearings.
Uhh....honestly, that video's not very helpful. Most people looking for videos of hub are trying to figure out how loud the freeub is and if they like that sound. Your video shows the hub, but really, the exploded view of the hub (available on shimano's website) gives all the same information. Without your frustratingly slow zoom in, zoom out. Pan left, pan right. That approach might work with boutique parts, but come on, this a shimano part!
