John 17:3 brings out that knowing The Only True God the Father and his son Jesus Christ means everlasting life. do we know the True God the Father if we believe that Jesus is indeed the True God? can a person get life while believing that Jehovah is something hes really not? can we be saved by believing that Jesus is something he's not? if so every religion and non religion is saved because we all believing in God then their will not be a need to debate with each other about the nature of God

Mathew 4:4 states we live on every word coming out of Gods mouth. Many other scriptures show how Thomas words should be viewed.  Jesus speaks of "his" God not only on earth, but also in heaven (Revelation 3:12) Also, get out your diaglott. John 1:1, compare Acts 28:6.

Jehovah's Witnesses go door to door because we 'don't' think we're better than others. Please open them. Regards.

Unfortunately Meg, you didn't respond to the verses I gave. Jesus convinces Thomas that the body that hung from the tree has risen from the dead and that Thomas calls Jesus "the God of me and the Lord of me" (your word for word Kingdom Interlinear). "the God" here is "ho theos" which is the true and living God. Jesus does not correct Thomas and receives this praise that belongs to God alone. These verses must be analized without preconceived Watchtower interpretation.

@jerrybenson-thomas is also called the Doubting Thomas, due to being absent from the meetings when Jesus appeared. His faith lessened. If we compare Thomas words from John 20:28 "...my Lord and my God".. from the words of Jesus from John 20:17 "...to my God and your God "... , who is the most reliable to tell the truth? Thomas or Jesus?

And for the life of me why you would refer to the mistranslation of John 1:1 in the NWT which is clearly seen in your own "Kingdom Interlinear" is beyond me. I love Jehovah's Witnesses. I love that they teach from the Bible. I love that they speak the truth. Read your bible. They are the only religion who truly follow the example of Jesus Christ. They don't "television preach" they go door to door and talk to the people. They are the only ones doing God's will.

@jennafawTV you are misunderstanding what Ephesians 2:8-9 is saying Jenna yes we are saved by Faith because of Jehovah Gods loving kindness he did not have to send his only begotten son to die for us he did it out of his loving kindness that he has for us so we are saved by faith when Adam disobeyed God Jehovah could have gave up on humans but he didn't because he love us, his love for us is displayed when he sent his son Jesus Christ to die and be tortured so I do believe we are saved by faith

The problem I'm seeing is that your society loves to exclude the unbelievers, you guys keep to yourselves with everyone, but the ONLY thing you guys do to associate yourselves with unbelievers or believers of other religions is when you guys are knocking on doors. Doesn't mean you have to get involved in their negative conversations but that's another great way to plant the seed is by them WITNESSING your walk with Christ. Jesus never avoided the "greater" sinners. He approached them/ vice versa. We are to be inspired by what Christ did, love EVERYONE for the will of God. So when you exclude yourself from them and didn't put the effort to try.

@jennafawTV Us Jehovah Witnesses keep to ourselves in terms of world affairs politics, warfare, me personally I have lots of friends that is not in the faith but I chose to disassociate my selves with alot of them because they do and talk about the same things before I became a Witness most of them sell drugs take drugs, violent, use dirty language, talk about how many girls they slept with things that I don't want to hear or be around and my brothers and sisters in the faith are the same way.

You can't exit out of their lives because they dont want to listen to you or "care" about the gospel. When things hit the rocks, and they search for help, you're not even going to be there for them because you had dissed them off because you gave up.

We are simply being faithful to God's command to "earnestly contend for the faith". I have no doubt that your heart is in the right place in trying to open their eyes. But as a former JW I can tell you that it will not work. What you are doing is what they've been trained to look for in God's enemies. You are only strengthening their resolve.

To get a JW to think about their faith is impossible. First THEY must already be in doubting mode. Then you can come in and teach them by questions. Force them to think. Force them to do research.

Otherwise your message is lost on them.
