fine. This only happens on bootleg cartridges (as in copying the game's ROM to another

cart). As long as you are using the original, it should be fine.

To be fair, The game developers are well within their rights to fuck with you if you wanted to steal it. I may not agree with society's huge issue with intellectual property management (Mostly those ridiculous RIAA and MPAA lawsuits that are worse stealing than the piracy was), but in this case it is perfectly acceptable for the game designers to fuck with you for stealing their shit. I certainly respect that methodology a heck of a lot more than those ridiculous lawsuits.

This is the kind of anti-piracy that actually works. If you buy a genuine cartridge, it will work normally and you can do what you want with it without trouble so long as it's within the bounds of fair use. The anti-piracy provisions kick in only if the game was actually pirated.

The DMCA crap and DRM overreacts to the problem by limiting how people can use the content no matter what, essentially punishing honest customers in the process of trying to stop piracy.
