actually the subi won. thats why there was the big light on top of the time board. the winning side lights up, not the losing side, go watch it again. it was a close race but the subi did come through at the end.

Its easy to have a bad launch with an AWD car. In fact, launching an AWD car takes lots of practice. You have to build boost in order to launch...no boost=bogged launch...I mean, really.

all the compacts have a problem with spooling turbos (so it ends up bogging through the 60 ft)

they haven't figured out yet that you can do full-boost launches if they had an automatic....

That had to be stock. A WRX with any modifications should run low 14s at least.
