Jerry Martin composed quite a bit of music to the SC4 soundtrack but it was a collaborative effort. Anna Karney was the actual composer of this track (she also composed "Urban Complex" from SC3). I can't give her enough thanks for this amazing contribution to this outstanding game.

This makes me think of a person living in the city taking a train from home at night with a snow storm getting worse and worse and the announcer starts calling out the delays.

The said person is wondering if he will make it home to his wife and kids or have to grab a bunk at a motel.

I see a man having finished a long day at work, and finally he's heading home on a subway or a metro train. He's feeling all tired and exhausted from the hard work. Leaning against the his seat he looks out of the window with half open tired eyes, watching the cityscape before him, slowly turning from downtown skyscrapers to smaller and smaller buildings. That's what I imagine when I hear this song.
