Deniece was spectacular.The range and beauty of her voice was incredible....Most of these folks couldn't get with The Clark Sisters.You have to have a relationship with Jesus to really understand and appreciate gospel music.

I recall watching this, when I was a little guy...and when Deniece opened her mouth to sing and the first note came out, I remember i started to cry a litttle because I had never heard something so pure. She was really on top of it that night. My family and I were watching the Grammys that night, and everyone stoppped talking because we just knew that she was gonna light it up...you could just feel the electricity in the air. It was palpable...and I think she knew it.

I too saw Unsung featuring Deniece Williams. It was shocking to know that this woman has sung some of the best songs ever! I was born in 85 so the first song of her's that I heard was "Let's Hear It For the Boy" not knowing it was her that song "Silly" and It's Gonna Take a Mircale"! This woman can TRULY SING!

I was also brought her by Unsung.. This was really an emotional but uplifting for me. I just had to keep watching this. The pure magic, shear power, and undeniable range was the catch but the belief of the annointing that came from the voice just did it. He is a Friend in deed, he is a problem solver, did it for me. I thank you Lord... I need that.

I watched UNSUNG this evening and was so inspired by this woman's story; but when i heard her singing this song, i felt the anointing coming out of the tv screen; i got the chills ya know and just had to come to youtube to be blessed again. Niecy is amazing and i do hope and pray that one day she will find or shld i say be found of the ONE God has for her. God is INDEED amazing and I thank Him for His Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

i remember this like yesterday. It was Frbruary of 1985, and I was 16 years old. I must've played that Deniece Williams part 100 times. One day I accidently taped an episode of WEBSTER over it, and I haven't seen it since. Until now!

I remember when this aired; I was in Jr. High School. I didn't get to see the original broadcast for some reason. Days later my friends and family told how amazing Deniece's performance was. It was be many years later that an audio version was released. This is my first time seeing the acutal performance. Thank you so much! She is amazing!!
