  • I'm really sorry this video was interupted so many times and the volume cut because of someone's clapping. I wish you had another copy to post without that dreadful clapping cutting the volume while their performing. Outside of that you people's talent's are nothing short of awesome. GOOD JOB. Loved the post :-)

  • this is the father of such a sexy guitar very nice

  • fantastic sound, great renditions. bravo !!

  • The best at all time . Mike XMan

  • The best at all time

  • HI Świetnie,pozdrawiam

  • I really like Les Paul and Mary Ford but I can do with out the clapping into the microphone

  • These guys have it nailed!

  • Really excellent!!! Les and Mary would be proud!

  • STOP FUCKING CLAPPING, BASTARD.

  • @lespaulsoundwave WOW, SUCH LANGUAGE. YOU MUST BE A REPUBLICAN HOOKED ON FIXED NEWS.

  • is that an Ibanez he's playing?

  • The young lady singing back up harmony with Sandy . Is that Jack and Sandy's daughter???? You have done a very good job here, professional wise. Your parody's to Les & Mary 's music is absolutly outstanding. Keep up the wonderful work. Love your playing and the vocal's

  • Good but not Les ...

  • the title is mis-leading

  • To settle a dispute, do you all think Les Paul is finger picking or just picking?

  • @GoodOldHalo remember he was severely challenged with a severe form of rheumatoid arthritis that almost silenced him forever. if u see later footage of les; his fingers are terribly afflicted. its amazing he was still able to play.

  • @415Riggs to set the record straight, he didn't have RA. He had a severe affliction with degenerative arthritis that required daily therapy just to maintain mobility. RA is a systemic disease that requires periods of inactivity when an affected joint is "hot". The same therapy would have been impossible with RA.

  • using a plectrum

  • Where is the surpise in music these days?! This is beautiful art!

  • They really did a fantastic job of playing those numbers with the same arrangements of Les and Mary. Still gives me goose bumps when I hear those renditions.

  • ashame that dat burn clapp'in had to break up the audio. Outside of that these people are AWESOME impersonaters. Thanks alot really enjoyed this:):):):):):)

  • guys..he isnt les paul..hahaha

    read the description

  • Jack and Sandy do an outstanding job! Regards!

  • In case you didn't notice, this isn't Les Paul or Mary Ford but rather a good cover by Jack and Sandy Marlin ergo "Marlinaires".

  • Fuck yeah Les is still rocking it.

  • Funny you should mention that because there's nothing I love more than listening to Les and Mary immediately followed by Quadrophenia.

  • Les almost looks like Pete Townsend in this shot. That man was amazing on guitar (Les, I mean - pete was great, but no Lester)

  • 3:10 makes me happy..

  • thank you for everything les...

  • oh my god seriously. the clapping is fucking annoying. way to ruin one of my favourite les+mary songs ya jerk =p

  • and you are fucking annoying, too

  • i wish this wasn't via internet, because if you would have said that to my face, i would have made you wish you were never born :) keep your comments to yourself, dickhead.

  • rock in pice

  • R.I.P. Les Paul.

  • How must it have felt to have designed and performed an intricate Les Paul medley like this only to have a couple of idiots whooping and clapping in all the wrong places?

  • Come to Vegas! I would LOVE to see you!

  • awesome! 5 stars!

  • I think these folks sound great - and very much like Les Paul and Mary Ford in their prime.

This guitarist - JACK MARLIN - is amazing.

  • R.I.P, allfather of guitar heroes!

  • Yes! Awesome! It makes me so happy to see this music played nowadays. Great job sticking to the same style and sound too!

  • RIP LES PAUL

  • oh ..today he died we lost the creator of guitar ...so we will miss him..

  • wow i was actually thinking this was Les at the start, very very good!!!

  • Is Les playing a Gretsch?

  • No...but a fair imposter..

  • That is not Les Paul.

  • no he is playing a gibson that is similar to what B.B. King plays

  • Comment removed

  • IT'S great , your sound is the same as Les and Mary. Bravo for the guitarist.

**** I met Les Paul two times. Please check my channel

  • Great Job Where is the Gibson Les Paul ?

  • Has this performance really been on youtube for 2 years and I've only just discovered it. It's just fabulous. I hope you're still performing this tribute to Les & Mary, and that someone will video it again without the sound dropouts.

  • That was actually a fantastic performance. How anyone can be critical of this is insane. Have you sat down and tried to learn some Les Paul licks? This player does a great job!

  • lousy imitation!

  • wow did not know they also invented over dubbing. thought that was only for recording not 'live'

  • Rien que de bonheur ces deux complices, et Lès tjs aussi brillant, Mary tjs aussi suave.

  • Great Les Paul and Mary Ford tribute. The guitar looks like a Yamaha AES1500B to me.

  • I want to see the performance of these people. Please come to Japan.

  • Is he playing with a Casino??? What the hell, the guy has copyright over Les Paul guitars, and he plays with the Casino guitar... He rocks anyway...

  • Can't tell you exactly what model he is playing but it is not a Casino. The Casino has a double cutaway. This is vintage something from Gibson maybe a ES 175.

  • Yeah, didn't notice that. I think that the ES 175 also has a double cutaway. This has a hollow alder body...

  • Its not actually les paul, it sort of looks and sound like him, but not actually him.

  • i'm sure its a white falcan. but isnt it crazy someone like les paul whos name is known world wide with millions of people saving up thousands of dollers, to buy i iconic insterment he invented, and after all that he gets to play infront of a crowed of fifteen...most of todays rockers never even heard him play,. its kinda well sad

  • you dumb fuck this is not even close to les paul... this is an ok band, but you cant compare them to les paul.. les paul only uses a special les paul guitar... hed never play something like that... you're a fucking idiot

  • not the only guy to have a guitar model named after him... but the only one I can think of real quick. The inventor of the electric guitar, and multi-track over dubbing... Les Paul, is awesome an talent.

  • cool sound

  • Fantastic stuff!Who are those guys? And they look as if they're having fun.Hell,I liked it!

  • at the time they were living legends, and they were having a great time.

  • Great clip. I couldn't stop toe tapping. Brilliant performance Les would have been proud.

  • Fantastic Clip - Great Post.

  • Funny, Les can play OUR music BUT WE can't play his. Did I say funny?

  • i would clap too, and everybody's claping he is just closer to the cameras' mic. great post

  • WOW..you guys are incredible!! AWESOME!!!!!

  • This is the TYPE of High -- Class Sound thats' Gotta' Come back Around!! (like..For Some, Its' NEVER Left!!) Great "Un -- Hillbilly" somewhat 'Boarderline' Western w/ a Manhattan

135* Spin on It !! Wonderfull REAL Music !!

Re the 'Clapping Clown",it has to Have been something to do w/the Omnidirect. Mike, as the Sound DROPS.. when the "nuisance" Manifests!

  • dam clapper

  • gros talents , simplicitees et modesties...je voyage ailleurs ce soir........!

  • lovely take on a classic / nice picking ,

  • You dont have to be older to appreciate kewl multitracks of guitars and vocals, Im in my 30s and all us guitarist know les is awsome, but id like to catch these two because the vocal parts are kewl too and they do them nicely :)

  • Wish the clapper would shut up!

  • les is the boss, the master.

  • That was a great tribute to Les & Mary! Bravo Jack & Sandy!

  • MEEOOOOW!!

  • I saw Les last night at the Iridium in NYC, he performs two shows every monday night at 8 and 10 and it's located at 51st and Broadway. He's still amazing as ever and will turn 92 on June 9th.

  • great ,top class singing and playing /bravo

  • turkey is beautiful wish I can go there ..yes Les Paul still plays ,he is in his upper 80's Why is he so popular in Turkey ? well I know he is Great but just interested?

  • are you serious?? Oh, I hope I see him before he dies.. But I'm in turkey. It looks hopeless.. If you see him, tell him, someone in turkey loves you:))

  • Excellent! Wish the clapping wasn't right next to the camera, but it was great seeing him perform anyway.

  • This not Les Paul just a reproduction..

  • I love him and I pray everytime he lives very long. He is old, but it looks he will live one hundred more years.. I hope so :) Primosilvano, you had said this is not les paul, guitar is not les paul but his name is les paul. that guitars have taken their names from him. he invited them. ok?

  • lestypolfy yes I know the guitar was name after him and he invented it. what i am saying is this man in video is not Les Paul .Les paul still plays guitar here in New York ever week at the Blue note club.

  • are you serious?? Oh, I hope I see him before he dies.. But I'm in turkey. It looks hopeless.. If you see him, tell him, someone in turkey loves you:))
