Bless you for putting this up I remember looking for this years ago and giving up. I used to tell my friends about this ep but no one ever saw it. LOL too funny by far my fave Looney toon.
What ws the name of the other one where they had the cat and dog and everytime he caught the cat he made him spin the wheel and got a different punishment?
3) The animated movie is about condor. There aren't "Toons from the Crypt". I remember that condor has mother. He hasn't brothers. He often repeats: "Mom! Mom! Mom!". I remember that little condor hatched from eggs and he's hitting in head several times. His mother (with black wings) defends him, because cat (Catnip from "Herman and Catnip"???) tries to eat him. Unfortunately, it isn't "Beaky Buzzard".
1) The animation is about businessman, who teasing some guy. I know that the guy is nice for rich man, because he has a lot of money. The businessman flees to Hawaii. When the rich man lost money - intrusive man found other rich man. Probably Looney Tunes.
2) Two dogs travels ship, probably father-dog and his son. The dogs are brown and they have black noses. Looney Tunes.
Does anyone reading this know which Hubie & Bertie cartoon featured the two of them in a food factory of some sort and one of them gets trapped in a canned food?
Years ago, when I used to watch "Bugs Bunny and Friends" on KWGN Denver, they used to play the crap out of this short. I could believe it became so controversial years later.
ok guys, heres some trivia....In frame 4:55,the adress was the original home to the warners brothers cartoon dept.the reason it was called termite terrace was bacuase it was so run down. in frame 5:01, the zoo directors initials are C.M Jones.... that would be chuck jones, the guy responsible for the warners brothers catoons. thats too cool.
Probably one of my FAVORITE cartoons ever! Whenever my sister and I are eating together and we get full, we say "No More Gravy." Hahahaaaa! Good Times! :)))
@YorkistWhiteRose To such an extent where throughout history certain other "meats" were "disposed of", for money; usually in bad economies! Interesting screen name, by the way. Been reading about the Battle of Towton recently...
When I saw this when I was younger, they cut out some of the stuff so it didn't all make sense. Now I see what it was all about with the mouse and the third owner and zookeeper.
Most WB cartoons of this era had the same themes, threaten, torture, and kill. Amusing in a dark sort of way. The censors kept a close eye on these animators. WB shorts would have been even more graphically violent with a fair helping of nudity, sexual situaitons, and strong language had it not been for the controls of the Hays office.
in nyc (channel 5), they cut 2:16-4:52. i never saw it until they posted the toon here yt. here's the ironic thing, they kept the mouse dressed as the sterotypical african
Yes, it's evil and sadistic, but this is a great example of the genius of Chuck Jones. I can see how filmmakers like Joe Dante and Steven Spielberg got their influence.
Oh, and did I happen to mention it's funny as hell, too?
After the dog went on a binge, the cat and the mouse joined forces to fatten him up more by pouring gravy in his mouth. I think they wanted to kill him for the abuse endured by adding on more pounds..
@InternetManable: You're confusing this cartoon with an earlier Chuck Jones cartoon, called 'Fresh Airedale'. In that one a cat, despite his good intentions, consistently gets ragged on by his master; while the dog (who is purely selfish and evil) gets consistently rewarded. Half-way through the cartoon the dog has a nightmare about another dog, who has been lauded in the press as the nation's 'No. 1 Dog' ...
I saw this on the original "Bugs Bunny Show." It gave me the creeps, even though I enjoyed it, like almost all the WBs. I look at it now (and it still gives me the creeps), but it's a brilliant example of what can happen when greed (or other vices) become an obsession. And I LOVED the payback at the end!
"Vengeance is Mine," sayeth the Purrr-secuted. And the Sqeeking Mouse serves the Greesy Gravy.
