  • what type of stock is that?

  • awesome man...do you think these are worth the pricetag? I'm sure you do since you own one but man...that's a lot to spend on a 308 rifle...I have an ak and ar..let me know what you think...thanks!

  • Love the paint job! :D

  • omg basically a m14 or a socom rifle which is basically a m14...-.-

  • where did you get your stock? i just bought one and i am looking everywhere for a camo stock and having no luck.

  • The camo patterning on that is sick!

  • Gee, you hit just over half your targets, skippy!

  • super match?

  • how far you shooting there?

  • How well does that SilverBear run for you?

  • Comment removed

  • really enjoy watching your vids man. really nice looking rifle you got there!!! im planning on purchasing the scout squad green composite due to it comes with a chrome moly barrel, something im really excited about because i plan on shooting it a lot and dont want to worry about suffering barrel wear. is yours chrome lined and if so hows it holding up??? im subscibing so im looking forward to more vids.

  • how much does a scout sell for ??

  • @varmitrifle the scout squads can be be had for around $1500+

  • can this gun use ammo for a 7 mag?

  • Nice looking weapon my man.

  • Where can you get the Camo EBR stock ? And Does it fit the Socom 16 as well ??

  • what distance was the target at?

  • how far?

  • Where's the EBR stock? Can you make a video with it?

Is that a custom camo design? Very very nice!

  • Is their a difference between a M1A and the M1 Super Match?

  • @DroPShoTShArPShOoTeR eeh yes otherwise they would have the same name:D

  • could you please suggest a dot sight for me? It looks like you have one on this rifle and it would be cool if you told me which one it is and how its working for you.

  • well i didnt like that weapons make-up in the begining but it grew on me. ahha nice rifle

  • man your line of sight looked really low. Were you using the iron sights?

  • I LOVE that camouflage job on that gun. Did you do it yourself???

  • Nice

  • what kind of groups do you get with the sage stock (scout squad is 18 in. barrel?)

  • Give me Scout Squad, or give me DEATH!

  • .308?

  • as a rule in our family, every male must own some variant of the M1A.

  • Love that sound!

  • Sucks.....let's see the group !!

  • What is a nice retailer for M-14s? im in the process of looking.

  • try springfield armory.

  • @elitelineman it wont matter but for absolute new or refurbished quality contact springfield and they can send one to local dealer make sure to discuss this to local dealer

  • is that scope at the right place??? nice gun, very nice

  • ya it is in the right place

  • lets see the groups you shot.

  • how about video of the target?

  • were did u get ur ebr stock

  • how is that ebr stock working for u

  • Very well! It is a nice upgrade to be sure.

  • @audiosean That looks like the socom... am i wrong?

  • @audiosean how much was ur EBR stock and where did u get it?

  • @audiosean I love that camo stock! I wish I had one for my socom 16.

  • @audiosean have you ever considered the jae-100 stock?

  • Any M1A can have a bayonet lug, you just have to change the flash suppressor.

  • wow I feel stupid nvm I thought scouts had bayonet lugs lols

  • Can you mount a bayonet to these or is it like a 16inch AR that has the lug but it's just for show?

  • I am thinking about the scout. Anyone know what MOA@100 they are capable of?

  • lol its funny how the guy pops up fro behind you when your shooting or at least it looks that way

  • hey great weapon,i have the socom, but one thing i want to know is why spend that much money on the weapon an then go cheap on the red dot,if it works it works but i bought an aimpoint ML2 for mine.

  • This vid was taken before I put this rifle into a sage ebr modstock with an eotech sight.

All shots taken here were with iron sights.

  • @audiosean hows the recoil on this puppy? actually not a puppy...more like a bear haha..thanks for the post

  • @Spillah21 M14's have mean recoil, but they are actually pretty easy to handle. The sheer heft of the weapon helps somewhat with the recoil.

  • @audiosean y no vids of your EBR? :(

  • @audiosean Im sure the sage stock is cool but that one in the video looks awesome! Is it a custom paint job or did you buy it that way?

  • can the m1a be more accurate than a bolt action

  • It can be more accurate than a "off the rack" bolt gun. But its a lot harder to keep them that way.

  • Seems to spit the spent cartridges out at random angles?

  • Thanks for that. I wouldn't have thought that it'd make a difference but it clearly does.

  • Next on my list

  • Looks like a good zombie gun, that one is next on my list!

  • @DIRTNAPPIN222 A better zombie gun would be an M60, BAR .30 cal, M2 .50 Cal, M249 or M240B.

While the scout may be accurate and have excellent stopping power, you would have to have a civil war style firing line of them in the hands of you and anyone else around in order to lay down enough lead to stop a horde.

  • What range? 100 yards or 300? I'm guessing somewhere in between because of the ping feedback.

  • .308 hits a 1000 yards back in WW 1 and 2 with a 30-06 marines could drop germans 1000 yards iv heard of 1300yd. shots i dont know if its true but thats with a bolt not a semi so id say 1000 max if you where a good shot

  • Very nice rifle, love the camo pattern stock, who did the paint for you and what colors where used?

  • Please check past comments, the answer is there.

  • That's a nice rifle. I prefer the traditional wood though.

  • Hear a lot of hits....what range was that at?

  • sounds like 50yrds to me.

  • Check the vid on the top of my page, you will see the target, does not look like 50 yrds.

    : )

  • very nice

  • Creekside Firing Range, Georgia

  • Any advice on mags? Mine are nosediving.

Thank God this isnt a damn airsoft vid.

  • Springfield Armory Mags are the best.

M1A's will shoot anything, but want to be fed with a silver spoon!

  • Damn it sucks that here in Australia you can't own a self-loading rifle of any kind. We are restricted to bolt, lever and pump action rifles only. I'm moving to the US Damnit!

  • @AFA82 Come on over and join the party!

  • @AFA82 haha don't complain, in the netherlands we cannot have any guns without a milion restrictions, 200 tons of paperwork and 700 years to complete all of it

  • @AFA82 Well, if Obama keeps going like he is, you'll never find a job, and they'll ban autoloaders. Better stay in OZ mate!

  • @AFA82 lemme know when u do.. we'll go shooting.

  • @AFA82 Move quick.. we will welcome fellow gun nuts.

  • @AFA82 Fascists.

  • @mgsfan15

    Troll.

  • @AFA82 Whaaat?... That's a fascist law. o.o

  • @mgsfan15 Sorry I misunderstood :-) Yes you are completely right. Its even worse in the UK!

  • @AFA82 Thought so. And yep, it's horrible.

  • doesent look like an aimpoint.. what model is it

  • It is a cheap Tasco, I have an eotech now, and the rifle is in a Sage Stock

  • What brand is the scope/site mounted?

  • Nice job on the stock. I just got my scout with the black stock. I haven't fired it yet but I think I'm gonna paint the stock. I like that a lot.

What kind of sight is that? Aimpoint?

  • see above comment

  • have you ever tried hunting with this rifle i know its a short barrel but you could if you wanted to rite??

  • Sure, it is a .308 which would drop almost anything with up to 4 legs.

It also will shoot accurately up to about 800 yards with iron sights!

  • whered you get the stock?

  • It came with the rifle, I painted it using a bulldog arms stencil kit.

  • does the m1a have a bolt stop on the mag? i was looking at one of them at turners and forgot to ask.

  • yes it does.

  • ok thanks. my grandpa has a m1 carbine so when i shoot that it gets a little annoying when you cant tell the mag is empty or not.

  • I want one!

  • very cool gun

  • that m1a gives me a hard on

  • hey how much recoil does the gun have? looking to pick one up but im not really a big guy,, weigh like 135ish lol

  • Its not bad, but if shit hits the fan you can pack an ar15 and lots more ammo instead. Just a trade off between light recoil and lots of rounds, or heavier recoil and more power but less rounds.

  • .308 rounds are much larger than a .223 and as a result better for shooting over 300 yrds, if you are not going to shoot over 100 yrds, an ar15 is much cheaper and easier to shoot.

M1A is much more fun though!

  • how much? i dunno if u live in the us or not but i imagine its more expensive in canada (like everything :( )

but here we are still able to get the norinco replicas (shitty) for the price i imagine its okay, and for less than half the price, and they fixed the bolt problems wich caused the us to ban them in the first place

but nothing beats the real thing

    i envy your rifle

  • I love my all of my Springfield Armory products! (I also own an XD45)

This is definatly my favorite rifle.

  • good gun my friend

  • nice rifle man, how much did it put you back altogether?

  • Did the paint myself, so that was about $20 in materials. The rifle without optics is about $1200 new, I paid $950 + optics, sling and Mags.

  • there is an actual cone head in the background lol

  • i know!

  • Is that a McMillan stock?

  • No, it is a standard SA stock.

  • Standard Springfield Armory Stock, custom paint

  • is that wolf ammo

  • no it is braunal or somthing, cheap eastern block ammo!

  • nice. gotta love that clang.

  • "reactive" targets are the best!
