awesome man...do you think these are worth the pricetag? I'm sure you do since you own one but man...that's a lot to spend on a 308 rifle...I have an ak and ar..let me know what you think...thanks!
What were your groupings like? After some practice, I can personally hit 3 MOA on my uncle's M14 (Iron sights), and fire a very precise hammered pair, even standing.
really enjoy watching your vids man. really nice looking rifle you got there!!! im planning on purchasing the scout squad green composite due to it comes with a chrome moly barrel, something im really excited about because i plan on shooting it a lot and dont want to worry about suffering barrel wear. is yours chrome lined and if so hows it holding up??? im subscibing so im looking forward to more vids.
could you please suggest a dot sight for me? It looks like you have one on this rifle and it would be cool if you told me which one it is and how its working for you.
@elitelineman it wont matter but for absolute new or refurbished quality contact springfield and they can send one to local dealer make sure to discuss this to local dealer
hey great weapon,i have the socom, but one thing i want to know is why spend that much money on the weapon an then go cheap on the red dot,if it works it works but i bought an aimpoint ML2 for mine.
@DIRTNAPPIN222 A better zombie gun would be an M60, BAR .30 cal, M2 .50 Cal, M249 or M240B.
While the scout may be accurate and have excellent stopping power, you would have to have a civil war style firing line of them in the hands of you and anyone else around in order to lay down enough lead to stop a horde.
.308 hits a 1000 yards back in WW 1 and 2 with a 30-06 marines could drop germans 1000 yards iv heard of 1300yd. shots i dont know if its true but thats with a bolt not a semi so id say 1000 max if you where a good shot
Damn it sucks that here in Australia you can't own a self-loading rifle of any kind. We are restricted to bolt, lever and pump action rifles only. I'm moving to the US Damnit!
@AFA82 haha don't complain, in the netherlands we cannot have any guns without a milion restrictions, 200 tons of paperwork and 700 years to complete all of it
Its not bad, but if shit hits the fan you can pack an ar15 and lots more ammo instead. Just a trade off between light recoil and lots of rounds, or heavier recoil and more power but less rounds.
.308 rounds are much larger than a .223 and as a result better for shooting over 300 yrds, if you are not going to shoot over 100 yrds, an ar15 is much cheaper and easier to shoot.
how much? i dunno if u live in the us or not but i imagine its more expensive in canada (like everything :( )
but here we are still able to get the norinco replicas (shitty) for the price i imagine its okay, and for less than half the price, and they fixed the bolt problems wich caused the us to ban them in the first place
what type of stock is that?

Any M1A can have a bayonet lug, you just have to change the flash suppressor.
audiosean 2 years ago
wow I feel stupid nvm I thought scouts had bayonet lugs lols
GUNS4MIKE1234 2 years ago
Can you mount a bayonet to these or is it like a 16inch AR that has the lug but it's just for show?

All shots taken here were with iron sights.

@audiosean hows the recoil on this puppy? actually not a puppy...more like a bear haha..thanks for the post
Spillah21 1 year ago
@Spillah21 M14's have mean recoil, but they are actually pretty easy to handle. The sheer heft of the weapon helps somewhat with the recoil.

@audiosean y no vids of your EBR? :(

can the m1a be more accurate than a bolt action
billybonnie94 2 years ago
It can be more accurate than a "off the rack" bolt gun. But its a lot harder to keep them that way.

Seems to spit the spent cartridges out at random angles?
RamboAmbo 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
its spitting the spent cartridges at random angles primarily because he's changing his trigger pull.

Sure, it is a .308 which would drop almost anything with up to 4 legs.
It also will shoot accurately up to about 800 yards with iron sights!
