This song reminds me of when my dad was gone in Iraq. Everytime it brings tears to my eyes! When he was gone i was like 5 and i would cry every night wondering where my dad was. I am so thankful for my dad, my great-grandpa, my grandpa, my uncle, and all the other troops. I pray for them every night to come home safely! I am so glad my dad and uncle are back. I LUV THE MILITARY TROOPS!!!!

Everytime a US troop dies, my mom plantas a rose in our "Rose Garden for the Troops" Theres way to many rose. My family is a big military family. My great grandpa fought in the Korean War. My Grandpa fought in WW1 and WW2 and my dad was just in the Air Force. I hope to go to military after I gruadate High School. Rest in Peace Tony, 1985-2007 Miss you bro.

@WjHsFrEaK16 My cousin was in Iraq. As long as hes with his group he should be safe. My cousin died in a road side bomb. My mom told me we were going to Arlington for his burail but she didnt tell me who had died. So when we got to his grave site where he was going to be buried and I read his grave stone. Im a 14 year old boy adn I broke down crying. He was like a brother to me.

@WjHsFrEaK16 I just want to say that it is always encouraging to see a woman who is ready and willing to stay with her man even while he is going to be deployed. Its a hard lifestyle and you don't often find women that are strong enough to be with a military man, and kudos to you for being strong enough to do it. My advice would be to spend a lot of time with your friends and write him a lot of letters because that will help him stay positive about everything that is going on, good luck :D

@agsiota50 thank you for the comment.. it doesnt really take strength it takes being in love.. without love you cant do it. it gets hard but the love helps you through it. you could be the strongest person mentally and not love the person fully and you wont make it you have to love the person to make it through something like this its been 7 months for me so far and his leave keeps being changed. if i may ask are you in or a spouse? or just a caring citizrn ?

@MrsTaboo16 i have been through this alot. my brother joined n spent a year in iraq. n most of my friends r n have been over seas. i cant cause my brother always told me no. that i need to b home 4 the family. n when ur in the army the family is not left out not one bit were all here 4 each other in support as well as helpful. were all one big family. never think the worst tho thats what can kill.
