See the problem that this video dont solve is that to let you know that their is a difference to TAX the rich in a good economy and TAX the rich in a bad economy! BIG DIFFERENCE! Cant tax the rich in a bad economy, i DEFINITELY heard Mccain speak on that!
BARACK-N-HOOD..STEAL FROM THE RICH GIVE TO THE POOR!!!! WHY DO THE RICH GET TAX BREAKS AND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK 2 or 3 JOBS JUST TO KEEP THEMSELVES FROM STRUGGLING DON'T?? I JUDT DONT GET IT.. SOOO MANY PEOPLE BITCH ABOUT HIS ECONOMIC VIEWS BUT ARE ALSO GOING TO BENIFIT FROM IT... I JUST DONT GET IT
That ship has sailed. By definition, the moment the govn't started collecting income tax, the country became socialist. Now it's a matter of degree. No difference between McCain and Obama when it comes to a socialist agenda. One is corporate, the other is populous.
Like I said, a matter of degree. By the Webster's definition of Socialism, we're already there.
Social Security
Medicare
Medicaid
Unemployment
All benchmarks of a socialist system. What people fail to realize is that Socialism is not a black and white concept. It's an ingredient to a government pie. How much of it we have is the discussion, not if we have it.
Maybe. But McCain's plan isn't any better. If the choice is corporate socialism or populous socialism, I'll side with the people. I'll give "trickle up economics" a try.
Please you know better than that. You know that when corporations do well EVERYONE DOES WELL. When they grow the gov. gets more rev. When they grow they give to charity more. When they grow they employ more people. When they grow they push tech. forward.
Corporate socialism (not that i believe in that phrase) would be FAR BETTER than populous socialism.
Don't get me wrong. I thank my lucky starts that I'm in the higher bracket, but my livelihood is very much dependent on people on the lower bracket being able to afford what I sell. If I have to pay a little more so they can afford a little more, I'll go along.
Corporate socialism works if the people running the corp are fair and regulated. When they are not, we get what we have now: an economy on the verge of destruction. If the lower bracket have more money, corporations will do better, because people will be buying more. Trickle Up Economics. In the end, it has to be balanced with either pholosophy. Everything would work perfectly, if people wouldn't fuck it up.
Your comment is incorrect. ALthough no taxes would be the stupid, its impossible with the amount of people we have.
For the same reason we can never be a truely democratic country we can never be truely free of taxes.
And thats fine. No one wants no taxes. They want reasonable taxes. And taxing the richest 2% is fine with me. Stop being sycophantic to the rich...you are NOT in their club as much as you think you are.
I never asked for no taxes. I understand that having no taxes is impossible. Taxing the rich has a trickle down effect which ends up being less productive than taxing growth. Im wealthy enough to be concerned about Obamas tax plan.
You sure picked a great username. It suits you well.
McCain thinks rich starts at 5 million dollars. Maybe that's what he means by "a certain level of comfort." That comes to less that 1/10th of 1% of the population, so I don't think many Republicans need to worry about McCain raising their taxes. :)
Socialism is scary for many Americans because they don't know what it means. I don't see how public schools, public libraries, etc. don't make America a little socialist.

You are arguing symantecs. But ok, ill go with it.
The DEGREE TO WHICH OBAMA WANTS TO EXERCISE SOCIALISM IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Is that better?

No. McCain's tax bracket benchmarks are even lower than Obama's. Visit his site and check his policies.

McCain should be in "Special Politics", like some athletes are in the Special Olympics.

So this is what he "really believes." Interesting.

Too many Americans do not understand American tax law. It is hard to understand why McCain did not give the woman a correct answer to her question.
