Finding your purpose in life is a very profound thing, and most people, unfortunately, only want the superficial in their movies... This movie was very profound and deep. His other movies may have not lived up to expectations or been down right bad (The Happening, Last Airbender) but this one was beautiful

This movie was down rated for its bland story line, it wasn't bland, People expected this action packed fantasy, listen to the story line, it's main purpose is "listen". this movie came together nicely, Story was sent to get the world a message, to listen again. Critic had it wrong from the start, they forgot to listen. (thumbs up if you agree :))

@pwnerage123456789 I think the underlying message of the film was that there was more good in the world than evil. You just have to both look and listen closely. What makes the ending so interesting is that it implies that when the little boy reads the authors book he'll change the world in a good way and encourage everyone to start listening again. Once they start listening the "childrens story" will become fact again.

I remember when this first came out. I wnated my friend to go see it with me and he was all like, "Man i ain't goin to see that. I don't like wolves." He's such a scary cat. But when I watched it, I loved it. All of M. Night Shymalan's movies are great.

this music sends chills down my spine... not out of fear, but of how damn good it is and how good that movie was. only a few of us "got it" and thats the way it should be... there aren't too many of "us" left in this world.

@megganoodle I agree with you and I understand how you feel out of place. A lot of people didn't like the movie and I have no clue why. In my opinion, it's one of the greatest 'modern fairy tales' we have. A truly beautiful work.
