This song is originally a piece from the musical theatre show "Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd", its use as a pop song became more common after being covered by Nina Simone. Muse added an awesome rock twist on it, but quite frankly, those guys werent even alive when it was written.

Hey @sippe555 falsetto is more difficult than the normal voice. It's need many preparation to make a falsetto like Matt. And one more thing... Matt uses falsetto because he is a tenor.

Reaching an A#4 in chest voice is at the top of Matt's chest register, while reaching it in falsetto is no problems at all. The fact that his highest falsetto note is one octave higher than his highest chest note should tell you that. And also, Adam is also a tenor...
