Marijuana got illegal after Mexican immigrants brought it to America who wanted to use the herb after a hard day of labor, so they could relax. One day, a Mexican killed an American. America didn't think twice and used this opportunity to suppress the Mexican immigrants, blaming it on the herb. I'm from Holland and what we've learned is that it's better you control the distribution instead of criminalizing it, because that would bring more wrong-doing. You have to set priorities as a country.

Weird, I'm about to turn 20 and I already recieved an internship with NORML, I have a 3.95 GPA in Pre-Med and Pharmacology. I'm in the process of having a published article on marijuana and one on safe injection sites. And hmm I am a marijuana smoker. That is credibility.

Illegal marijuana is clogging jails, courthouses for no reason! For some people, and I have witnessed this with friends, weed can be just as addictive as anything else. But for the most of us who don't use it or use it recreationally it is safer than alcohol and cigarettes. It's fun to use, acts as a pain killer even without causeing the ulcers that alot of mainstream prescription drugs do. LEGALIZE LEGALIZE LEGALIZE!!!!

@rainbowspite222 And the crappy part of the psychological addiction that some experience with drugs like marijuana (and other illegal ones) is that it's such a cultural taboo to admit that there might be a problem. If it were as easy to admit a problem with drugs of any type (legal or not) as it were to admit that one had a chronic bronchitis or regular headaches, and the taboo of getting help for the problem weren't so huge, problems wouldn't go unchecked to such extremes.
