  • I bet that guy can fit a bowling ball in his mouth.

  • Is this Mick Jagger

  • does it work with reaper?

  • how do i restore factory settings on this unit. i need help with it. fucked.

  • Comment removed

  • @GmlkZ yeh there is.

    22 keys

  • @dmaji1 Well 12, but good effort on the basic maths.

  • @GmlkZ

    actually not. only 11.

  • @entenfang i think its 12 : P

  • which one is better axiom pro 49 or AKAI MPK49?

  • @riddlish i have the axiom and it isnt all that much..i wis i would have got the mpk..the keys say semi weighted but they feel just like my non weighted casio keyboard

  • please help me. Im going to buy one of these, but what else do i need with it?? Do i need to install something cubase or pro tools. I am using a mac and have garageband? Will this keyboard work straight out of the box or will i need to buy software.

  • @invictorium

DO NOT buy this keyboard, Axiom & Axiom pro are all fitted with faulty keybeds - just search Google for "Axiom sticky keys", M-Audio even admits the problem now but has not recalled the offending products.

Do yourself a favour and buy the Novation SL49 MKII instead, it's a much better board in every way.

  • @K3Yzero thanks for your help. I googled the sticky key problem. So, if i bought the Novation SL49, what software would i need on my laptop? Any ideas, would garageband suffice, or would i need pro tools or logic?

    thanks for your information though.

  • @invictorium I dont use garageband, but yes, The Novation SL MKII can be mapped to work with any DAW like cubase, logic, sonar, etc, so you shouldn't have any problems, if you're worried about it though always just call up the store you're gonna buy from and ask them about it, they will be happy to help and will set your mind at ease before you purchase.

  • @K3Yzero alright, thanks for your help.

  • imo, the akai mpk49 is better than this. i have an akai and my friend i make music with has a axiom 49 pro, and he swears its untouchable, but i think the akai has a few advantages over this

  • whats a DAW

  • @ttkay123 digital audio workstation.

  • @ttkay123 Music program you use for sequencing, editing music such as Cubase.

  • @ttkay123 Digital audio workstation. For example ableton, cubase, pro tools etc

  • less talking more playing...

  • Man I kinda regret buying the Fantom x6.

  • @drastic209562,

Why would you regret buying the Fantom X? I mean yeah, you do have more controls as far as the control surface aspect is concerned on the Axiom, but that can be fixed buy buying a dedicated control surface. I recommend taking a look at Novation Zero Sl Mk2 control surface. It is quite complex and it does a great job. As for your Fantom X, you can use that as an outboard instrument plugin and get sounds that you cannot find in the virtual instrument plugins. I WISH I had ur Fantom

  • @Gearwire: Would the M-Audio Axiom Pro 49 MIDI Controller Keyboard work with The (Roland SONAR V-Studio 700) System ?

  • @geniuatwork yes

  • fuck pro tools, go with cubase

  • @ledzep896 No, screw cubase and go with Fl Studio! lol jp

  • whats the best FREE software for my axiom pro 49?!?!

  • @B1aKWoLf If Your A Bad Person Download A Pirated copy of Fl Studio, Reason, Cubase, Pro Tools Etc.

  • Is this going work with new reason 5.0??

  • I have one of these (Axiom Pro 61) and it is perfect. It makes my work flow a lot easier in Ableton Live 8. And the keys are absolutelt perfect! semi-weighted with perfect resistance. Go and check it out now in your nearest music store and I promise you will be as hooked as me.

  • i am thinking of buyin this but not totally sure

Can this be used in fl or only with software like protools i only want to use fl

also the 8 pads in the corner can you assign them to any drum, bass kick, hi hat or even song u want?

hypercontrol technology refers to the controlling of the knobs for vsti and programs on the software but will they work in fl as this is da only software i want 2 use or only 4 protools

Can you assign the keyboard to play any instrument that is in fl?

    thanks

  • @snake786123 ye it works perfect with fl and others...i use it in fl and logic!!! u can assign keys,pads,knobs,sliders... to do what ever u want so no problemo man!!! for me axiom 49 (not pro) is just perfect!!!

  • I have this product and I'm very happy but i have a IMac

  • I'm thinking getting this one as I tried one down the shop yesterday and found it to be one of the nicest keyboards I've ever touched, very different from other ones.

  • @jimmyss75 exactly. I have never been fully satisfied with the keys in other midi-keyboards. (especially the AKAI PRO), until now that is.

  • If you are using anything else that Protools i will tell you to stay off this product. Hypercontrol which most people by it for will not work in windows 7, 64 bit. In today memory intensive applications and huge libraries which any serious producer will stick to pass 32 bit technology. At his moment the thing is like any other midi controller. hypercontrol is problematic and m audio is not releasing drivers for over two years. Lots of people on m audio forums are saying they will return it

  • These controllers are the biggest piles of garbage ever. The first one I bought came out of the box with a broken key. Probably thanks to "Made In China" quality. I returned it for a second one. I run protools 8 with vista. This thing is supposed to be plug and play and not even need drivers to work on my system. Drivers or not no matter what I do, it will not work. Tech support is useless. Save your money and your sanity.

  • how do you set the pads!!?????

  • $299 $399 and $499?! Check your website buddy...

  • Anyone that finds that there play buttons and so on aren't working properly even with the old model... you can hunt .xml files from m-audios site and use enigma to install the right settings. there is tutorials on here on how too do it although there not very clear.

  • does the hypercontrol work with ableton live/ suite because i've heard that there are some issues?

  • yea it does man

  • Does it work with Reaper?

  • no idea man, i rekon hit up your dealership and get them to set up a run with reaper.

  • no...they purposefully dont come programed for Ableton because they only care about pushing pro tools...you can still map it out yourself with a few hiccups here and there.

  • hey dude, is it hard to map them out with ableton? the bastards huh? hehe

  • sup dude, so i am guessing if i bought this i would have to map it to Cubase sx myself to yeah? or does it come programmed for Cubase sx? thanks in advance.

  • @DreamstateEmergency I have one of these, the keyboard has standard settings for cubase, ableton, and a bunch of other DEWs. you can just plug it in, go into the onboard settings and pick Cubase from the controller itself, its pretty sweet

  • hey one question do u have to plug it into your computer or can yoou just play it with out your computer?

  • Have to have it plugged into a computer or synth/equivelant

  • gravol1111 - It's a MIDI controller which means it only controls the functions with the software you are using e.g. Pro Tools.

If you are look at a keyboard that has it's only built in sounds and is capable of recording music. Then you are looking for keyboard workstation. These are expensive and good ones can cos easily $4,000+ You can buy a Pro tools mini mbox 2 for about $390 which comes with Pro Tools 8 & this midi controller for about $400 & assuming you are using a Mac it'll work fine.
