@paula280491 depends on which one you get. The one he has is a Ibanez fl9 which will run you in excess of $100 normally. I have the EVH Flanger by mxr and would highly recommend it if you're in to Van Halen and other 80's rock with flanging magic.

A flange effect is nothing more than a fast sweeping echo signal, originally produced by 2 taperecorders where one of them where slowed down by a finger on the tapeflange. To make this effect you can use a delay box and set it to a speed between 1-10 ms. The amount of feedback will act as regenerator. This will just produce a straight dry flange effect, not a sweeping one, but in my opinion, a much cleaner and warmer sound.

I have a Les paul studio, and have seen this one multi-fx pedal my freind had which had like 180 different pre built in effects that made the guitar sound so cool, anyway im thinkinng about getting into effects for my Gibson so do you recommend i buy a bunch of these little effect pedals? or a big one with hundreds of pre built stuff?

@Jakearnie I personally find that most multi effects pedals have a much narrower sound than stomp boxes. Buying individual pedals gives you very direct control over each of the effect you want to play with and really lets you dial your tone into something unique. Also, as long as you buy them on the used market, you can usually re-sell them for exactly what you paid. So you can try out a new pedal, and if it doesn't work for you, throw it right back up and ebay and grab a new one.

lt's a Peavey XXL, the Head is 100 watts l think, but like in the vid u can add a bottom to make it better..

l tested it once and l think it's kickass!!

But l got a Vypyr 75 watt so l don't need to clear much of the work room l play in..

@BlackGhost574 The pedal will have an "input" and "output" side to it, each being labled. Your guitar gets plugged in to the input side and then you run a second cord from the output side to your amp. When you get multiple pedals just connect the output of one to the input of another in order to get a chain going, unfortunately this requires a lot of little connecter cords once the chain of pedals get's really big. Hope that helped

That rack mount looks to be a digitech rackmount in which I KNOW he isn't using the sims on it(very distinct sound from digitech).

you don't have to have thousands of dollars worth of equipment to sound good.You just need to know your shit and not have that mindset of "more expensive=sound better." which isn't always the case.

I would like to know the exact settings of this flanger pedal and the exact settings of the distortion pedal because this sound is a killer! The amp setting would be helpful as well. I love most of the youtube demos such as this one but I wish that the demonstrators would give the settings of the pedals and amps and guitars/bass.This would be a big help especially for beginners. Overall the staff at Expert Village do an excellent job in their presentations.
