in the cantonese version, a blood-boiling music begins when they start running toward each other on the people's head.
then when jet lee and silbile hu faced each other atop their assistants as they rotated in position, the theme music starts off; that music was even better
of course, James Wong and Lui Song tak composed the music, so it's always great
I also hate it when the english dubbed version begins a kung fu movie with their Oriental music (the Western conception of chinese music when it's notChinese music ) of course, the original music in the 90s movies like this is not authentically Chinese, but as a hybrid of chinese and Western music by two of the best composers of their time, the result is fantastic
original music is always better than dubbed soundtrack (esp the Oriental music tracks) ugh, whenever a Miramax or New Line Cinema release of a kung fu movie begins with the new credit and with diff music, I shake my head knowing ppl can be easily deceived thinking it's music of China or music that Chinese composers are capable of composing, but that's not true; these Oriental soundtracks are cheap, stereotypical, and irritating; they're the trash of modern music
point is, I think ppl will accept kung fu movies more if they don't have that low-class Oriental music and if they don't think that kung fu movies are mindless entertainment where the "Everybody is Kung fu Fighting" for the sake of fighting
there was this entertainment on a cruise ship, and this cirque was doing kung fu, they keep repeating the crane style like four times, in the end, they had a gong sound effect and Oriental music and "Everybody is kung fu fighting" song
ahh this scene just makes me think. if women/girls were able to fight like that in general while still staying pretty i wouldnt have to complain about holding back. but when they get pissed and start using their nails run from the crazy bitch!
(but over all fyi hitting women is no good unless organized or have no choice)
@mastergsan mate ur right, therefore i had to buy both version from hong kong because of EU release was edited and original music removed. i rather watch in subtitle as long as it has originality
english version sounds is shit

@A7XStan Lame? Are kidding me? You should check the Fong Sai Yuk dub that Madhumsr put up. Its even lamer. This dub is far more superior.
