But the word queer was originally meant to mean awkward, so why use another word. To say "That's white" wouldn't make any sense at all. Phrases such as "that's gay" or "that's queer" have been programmed into the public lexicon as everyday sayings... Bottom line is if I can't call someone a fag because I dislike them or refer to something as being gay because I find it incredibly retarded than there is a serious disconnect between most people and common sense.
