  • Ah, 240p... we meet again..

  • il buy ya a root beer

  • Back then the national speed limit was 55 mph, and I doubt the "racing scenes" we see were filmed much over that. The illusion of speed just ain't there.

  • now y cant they build cars like that instead of the peices of shit they do now lol

  • Nevermind, found it on another post. It's Tennessee by Jan & Dean.

  • Does anybody know who made the song at the beginning of the movie when Brian first picked up Hurricane? Hurricane says "Listen to that" and turns the volume up then starts playing his thumb like a sax. It goes, ba ba baw baw baw, ba ba baw baw baw, ba ba baw baw ba ba ba baw baw baw..., as far as I know those are the only lyrics. The song ends just as they pull onto town and park. This is one of my favorite movies, next to Corvette Summer and Two-Lane Blacktop!!!

  • I enjoyed Your video

  • wow 40mph the hole damn time

  • why the fuck would they wreck a 65 belvedere.. js.

  • were they racing within the highway speed limit ? ... director totally failed to create an illusion of speed. Those guys were crawling along. But top marks to the stunt man on the crash roll

  • only jerry lee lewis could make that happen.

  • pontiac vs chevelle?

  • @sgtjuanka Mopar vs. Oldsmobile

  • you want a root........root beer ????

  • Ignorant... I'm not even related to arabia in any way. Seriously, stupid american rednecks like you make america look like a country for idiotic, patronised, lunatics. Also i haven't really mentioned any movies aswell... So what movies are you exactly reffering to?

  • american pieces of shit? oh, so thats why so many "collectors" from numerous countries have tried to buy up the "entire " market...truth hurts, and me driving my 1967 gtx straight up your colon would probably hurt as well. shut your pudding pop holes you geriatric cock tractors !!!! cause "EVERYBODY" dreams of owning their own "american muscle car" !

  • @youWILLlose2012 not me bruv, in europe a 5 liter v8 has more than 150 HP and sits on a chasis that goes round corners with doors that dont fall off when you open them, nice work

  • Cop School 101- When you encounter an accident, be sure to park no further than 2 feet from the burning vehicle.

  • They need to remake this movie and le tthem drive even slower in these american pieces of shit.

  • @gielfransen and your from where?

  • Luckely not America, but i'm not saying everything in America is bad, just these cars, pretending like their fast and all, prrft.

  • @gielfransen What do the dutch know about cars?

  • @gielfransen how about this, you fuck off and let us Muscle Car guys do our own thing and not start shit?

  • Who' s the idiot that is starting shit? i was just expressing my opinion about this shitty movie, again my opinion. And if you dont have peace with that, then it's really just your problem. So screw yourself.

  • i have the whole movie on dvd

  • this is when cars had balls...not these jap pieces of shit that we have nowadays

  • @Mr1976Gremlin

Newer German cars; over 450 HP from the factory for around $15K a few years old? Power you can actually use, even around a corner, and brakes that work!

Balls? Bullshit, pathetic power for their engine size and handling that could be put to shame by an Ox cart is not balls, that's shit. It's just a few inches away.

On top of that, they lied about the output back then. It was so exaggerated that when they went to standardised measurement, a 7.5L engine had 200 HP and 275 Ft lbs

  • they need to do a remake of this movie !!!!!!!

  • they need to remake this movie !!!!!!!

  • I wish somebody would post the whole movie on here.

  • I was really getting into it whe zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Well, that has to be one of the most boring car chases in history.

  • pontiac FTW =)

  • Awe damn!

  • damn there goes a rare ass car

  • im not suprised the 442 won the race

  • 1969 Plymouth Savoy VS 1969 Oldsmobile 442

  • @RazorUltraPro11 1965 plymouth belvedere

  • this WHOLE mivie had a budget of 50$

  • fuck the ones who crashed had the nicest car

  • hoky but...great racing scenes on the street and at the drags..will lend my copy of it for a fee...

  • love the willy's.

  • might hear me, might see me, catch me if you can!!!

  • A silly yet cool movie. A movie only an old beer drinking hot rodder can enjoy.

  • Bona Fide Old School stuff.

  • "what are ya running in that thing?" Black and Decker aquarium pump

  • this is shit.

watch Vanishing Point or Bullit if you want a real chase movie.

  • damn they cut close to the big rig!!

  • ofcourse, just as in the movie BULLIT, if you can't beat a mopar, just run it off the road....MOPAR!

  • Ya I wouldn't be asking "what are you running in that thing" after he rammed my car like that, I'd be pulling out my gun!

  • @ryandiablo666 HAHAH YUPP LOL

  • A "SQUIRREL" is a shit starter in atleast 4-cyl rust bucket trying to do burnouts at car meets to attract cops so as to ruin car meets-shutting down parking lot lights to discourage anymore meets.Seen a squirrel using a 4-cyl rotted mustang at Poughkeepsie,NY/rte 9, pulling that shit over 20 yrs ago, never forgot it.

  • Well this defenitly wasn't bullit, vanishing point or the orginal gone in 60 seconds

  • LOL.. I'd walk out on that movie on an Airplane flight..

  • just great!

  • plain stupid

  • That's my new racing phrases 1Come on Paint job get on it ! 2 Get on it Sqiurrel

  • No probs a little elbow grease and should cut right out. LOL

  • Hey kids if you like rock n' roll then stop honking your horns !

  • Hey kids if you like rock n' roll then stop honking your horns !

  • Wow, two cars bumping into each other going 35 mph, hardly a "car chase" this movie was terrible, unwatchable trash. I don't care how many cool cars a movie has in it, if the story, actors & production quality stinks it's still garbage.

  • Wasnt the guy with the beard in Gumball rally?

  • I say plenty of road! Come on those guys in the satellite should've backed off and the guy in the Cutlass would spin.

  • YAY!!! Calistoga, California. I luv that town!

  • 01:18 Man does that 442 look tiny compared to that Satellite! And by today's standards Cutlasses of that era look big. They were considered midsize back then.

  • That's why I have a roll cage! But how do these guys crash going 42 mile per hour?

  • @chico280 thats movie magic chupacabra

  • CRAP!

  • talk about a case of startin something you cant finish

  • That Plymouth is rare and desirable now!

  • I remember seeing this on TV when I was a kid...Grant Goodeve...Eight is enough-ha ha lol.

  • Bullshit ! They sweat at 60 mph hahahaha

  • That was about the stupidest chase scene I've ever seen. 2 bad actors get run off the road by David Bradford from "8 is enough"! That side-by-side shot looks like it was filmed at 35 mph. And why did the car roll? That special effects cannon under the car flipped it when an actual car would have just skidded. Cheesy, lame '70's movie action at it's worst!

  • i think it was meant to look like it hit that stone wall thing not skid

  • @LonLofgren I totally agree! What aload of crap!

  • Great movie. After this crash Brian salvages his Hemi and places it in a 33 Willies to run in the "Munn's Root Beer Nationals" and wins.

"What an upset. What an ambush. There's root beer all over the track."

I remember this move from way back when. Pity they NEVER brought it out on DVD.

  • You mean "41 Willys.

  • The Jerry Lee Lewis tune did not fit that at all, maybe if the cars were 10 years older...

  • "Short Time", now that was was one of the best filmed car chase sequences on film!!

  • Now here I totally agree with you!

  • It's a '65 Belvedere.

  • Is that a '69 Cutlass?

    with a 454?

  • yes it is a 69 olds with a 454. there is 2 painted the same in this movie one for street and one for the strip. the were my grandfathers cars that he bought new in 69 and painted orange and dragged raced

  • 455 olds...

  • Cool crash. Besides 'Dirty Mary Crazy Larry", the best car chase scene ever filmed imho is from 'The 7Ups". Anybody that puts "Bullit" on the list of greatest car chases, must not realize they did that entire chase with 50 cameras on the same two blocks with 50 different angles. "Bullit" was one of the worst & weakest car chases ever put in a movie imo.

  • Can't agree with you more! Well said.

  • Don't forget the French Connection with Gene Hackman. And the original Gone in 60 Seconds.

Not that Michael Bay/Nicholas Cage piece of shit

  • I don't know where you got your info on "Bullitt", but you are way off... it was filmed all over town, and was one of the best filmed sequences on film. I was hired to follow the path and duplicate many of the shots, and it was not weak by any means.

  • Well, I'm going soley by what I seen in viewing the Bullit chase a bunch of times. How many times did you guys use the same white VW in the street shots? Many of the same cars are in various shots. And I noticed many diffrent camera angles from the same shots used also. I still liked the chase, but it's nothing as good as the car chase stunts filmed in, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Freebie & The Bean, The Driver, or The 7Ups. Even the silly Blues Brothers had better filmed stunts & chases imho.

  • @actionunlimited the bullit is the best car chase scene ever shot! it did use alot of the same clips, just diffrent camara angles. the charger must have lost 6 or 7 hubcaps in that chase scene but it all worked and fit together! in my opinion the bullit is the best chase scene ever!

  • @lonaticc :the movie is called "Bullitt" and at least it is a car chase there, not some driving beside each other with 30miles an hour on an empty road...."Bullitt" has the greatest car chase ever!!!

  • THE BLACK ONE IS A RAMBLER, RIGHT?

  • The black one is a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II.

  • thank you.

  • your correct.

  • Sure it's not a Plymouth Valiant?

  • The ending fails.

  • you fail for saying it fails. I wish people would stop saying, :Fail and "EPIC Fail! you guys suck monkey turd.

  • lame. did they ever get over 60?

    nooooope.

  • The wreck starting at 2:55 would have killed anyone else. Only in the movies can the star survive such carnage.

  • Road race is danger,

    thank for the kind officer...

  • everyones got there faves and anything classic is good the ls6 454 was nasty and the 455 had the highest torque rating and both would give a hemi or a 440 6 pak a good run but when million $ race teams use hemi bassed engines for top fuel and funny car that holds some weight for an all out race engine the hemi was great but tempermental as hell and really nothing special untill you got into the upper R's

  • DWC4343 refering to your comment about theres no olds that could touch a sattelite with a 426 i got a 69 that would walk all over any hemi and has many times. dodge is overated. my 455 has beat pretty well every dodge its come against 426 or 440 just change the rear end and no more gutless cutlass. There like the monte carlo in that aspect they always came with shitty rear ends

  • I remember watching this one when I was 16 or so and had a 1965 Plymouth Satellite...Good flick...The olds got crushed in the end by the Willys coupe...

  • Ithinmk thats a 68 or 69 olds with a 455 hurst olds i belive 'i could be wrong ' And a 63 or 64 dodge coronet? with maybe a 383 or 413 who knows

  • 426 hemi!

  • Good actors and sweet cars i love these old movies the best

  • lol... "You mean we're still alive?" ... not a great chase, but nice cars...

  • ps to all ,love the sound of these things, v8's rock, please all make an effort to lower the price of fuel in england and sent a few of your cars over? a 70 challenger, 68 chevelle n 70 charger should do for now much appreciated. jim. ps will have to owe you for a few years hope thats ok

  • Anyone ever notice the cop car in the back ground at 2:47. Should not have been much of a race though. There's no Olds that can touch a Plymouth with a 426 Hemi 4 spd.

  • Most people would need an ambulance after that..the guy's laid out...he reactivates without a root beer...

  • ummmmmmmmm dum

  • lets chat

i liked this video :) bh

  • thats my first car 1965 plymouth belvedere II

  • ok mate im from england and love muscle cars, bit of a bitch as iv never had the chance to be in one or even see one n even if i did have one i couldn afford to run it!! what are the cars in this flik?? jim

  • My dad video taped this film for me when I woz around 4ish ..Eaven though I woz so young ...I could tell what woz going on just by the cars, races and crashes in this film...luv it.

    Thanx 4 posting it.x

  • Like most everything from the '70s, gawdawful and stooopid!!

  • HOT ROD????? Asshole that are MUSCLE CARS!!!!!!!

  • Hot Rod is the name of the movie this clip is from. Who's the asshole now?

  • Really you are soooooo fucking stupid. I see you dont know anything about Muscle or Cars in general. See ya

  • A muscle car is a large engined factory spec car. Those are hot rods because they've had their engines, bodywork and other things modified far beyond factory spec.

  • Anyway, no longer discuss the subject again

  • @Bubo25 no those would be street machines, ive seen the film, after the black car gets wrecked the guy builds a willys coupe, hence the name hot rod

  • @Bubo25 Time for school. There are 6 various types of cars , classic (all original or slightly modified..rims, etc) Original..(All original).. Street rod.. (.Pre 40's car modified.). Hot Rod.. (Post 40's heavily modified) Pro-Street (tubbed or very large back tires) and Muscle car - Mid 60's to late 70's can be stock , orginal or modified.. These are muscle cars pure and simple.. Ever see American Graffiti? Now the yellow coup in that.. thats a hot rod or street rod depending on who you ask.

  • Plymouth, Oldsmobile, AMC(squad). . . all three brands gone! America has changed. Cool clip, thanks for sharing.

  • @hanleyfallsmn56245 Thank God.

  • someone can tell me where do i find these movie for download (fast conection please)

    best hot rod movie !!!!!!!!

  • would b nize without the music

  • That is an 1969 Olds Cutlass....Sweet!!!

The 68 Olds had tail lights going horizontal and they were small. The front turn signals were between the headlights on 68.Very cool ovie and I really miss those younger days.I'm only 41 but no one makes movies like these.Rock on "yesturday"!

  • What model is that big red muscle car? Tell me please!

  • looks like a "oldsmobile cutlass 1968"

  • You know, back then those cars were great for racing! now in days we have lambo's to do that.

  • I saw this movie when it came out .great soundtrack, nice cars, awsome car movie!

  • The cop saved these silly guys' lives. They should be thankful not to be racing with that red hot idiot.

  • LAME!!!!!

  • Damn, it looks like they're going about 25 mph...remember filmmakers, to similate speed, undercrank the wideshots and stay close to the ground on closeups.

    The cars were cool, though.

  • thats a 1965 plymouth savoy/belvedere and its running a 1968 oldsmobile cutlass i had a 65 savoy called turtles toy it was a 361 4 brl with a push button torqueflite and an 8 /34 posi it was nice went to a 4 speed after an a 833

  • u can hardly call it a chase ive watched this film plenty of time n its soooo annoying y dont they just boot it off rather than messin about. if u watch it when the cameras like in front of the 2 cars its like there doing the speed limit...lol

  • cool they are ok
