Beautiful ship; I've always thought the Duke class have fine lines.
I see she doesn't have her Harpoon loaded, and I've noticed a few Type 23s lacking these when entering or leaving port; anyone know if this is some safety procedure?
My friend, I sadly fear that you are absolutely bang on there. For frigates and current destroyers cut missiles; for carriers cut...effective airgroup : (
I'm trying to think of what it was like to stand there, where people have watched RN ships leave in peace and war, for what? 250 years? Do you realize how many ships have sailed past in all that time? Thousands? Think of the names Nelson, Rodney, Hornblower, Cuningham! Okay, maybe not Hornblower, but all great names anyway!
That is a fine piece of British pride sailing out into the oceans. Thank you for showing this amazing video and the details displaying the Kent's capabilities, she is a ship of honour and a well seasoned crew aswell :)
