  • I really am impressed with this video. I am really interested in trying this, however if I dnt have the vodka to so the tonic what else can b used,or do u sell this tonic? I think that's easier

  • @kaykay292001 I usually sell locally to my friends. I have not done any online sales. My husband wants me to, but I work full time in the medical field and my patients are wearing me out. You only add the vodka to preserve the mixture for months, instead of weeks.

  • I love your channel! You give soooooooo much helpful info on hair care! Please keep it coming! :-)

  • @WiseLady7 I hope to continue the videos. So far, not too many negative comments. I don't mind constructive talk and discussion. Truly mean spirited comments almost break my heart at times. Thank you for the lovely comment.

  • @Roots4U45 You're quite welcome. Unfortunately, there are some mean-spirited, and JEALOUS folk out there who don't have nothing better to do than post hateful, negative comments. However, there are tons of people out there, like myself, who absolutely love your channel and appreciate the wealth of information you give about natural hair products. I am totally hooked on your channel! LOL! I've already started harvesting onion skins so I can make my first batch!

  • how often do you use the tonic? do you leave it on for a certain amount of time then rinse or just leave it in?

  • @isomn2hair I usually use the onion tonic once every other week. My goal is not long, long hair, just healthy thick hair. I usually spray the tonic in my hair after washing and leave in. You can also do a deep treatment and rinse. I hope this helps.

  • @Roots4U45 Thanks:-)

  • I was researching on the growth properties of onion juice when I came across this...very interesting concept on the onion skins. TY for sharing.

  • @MagnificentVirtue You are quite welcome. Remember the first medicines that God gave us--came from plants, trees, bushes, shrubs and the ground. Not from SALLY'S, MALL, WALMART, OR BEAUTY COMPANIES. Good looking out on doing your own research.

  • thank u ms.

  • Guess I need to start saving my onion skins...lol Great tutorial!

  • Im wondering if this would help with my daughters "dandruff". We were thinking that her scalp is just dry or she is just really sensitive to certain shampoos. Do you think it would be beneficial for her to try this?

  • @feliciaflanary She should do a test patch to make sure she is not allergic. The rinse has worked well on my sons' crusty scalp. I spritz my hair with it, but I don't rinse it out. Let me know how it helps

  • Where can I get the nettle powder?

  • @Espenji Nettle can be purchased at most help food stores or online. I purchased my nettle at mountain rose herb.

  • Another must try! My scalp is sensitive, can't use anything with artificial fragrances or I'll get extremely itching and burning scalp. Also, it gets very dry and tends to flake. Is there a substitute for the Vodka or alcohol? I'm not of legal age to purchase and I don't know anyone I can get some from.

  • @chantel2016 You can substitute white or apple cider vinegar. I use the vodka because it preserves the tonic for 1- 3 months - sometimes longer. Vinegar is a good way to make tonics, just watch for signs of "going bad"after a month or 2.

  • @Roots4U45 That's great since I already do ACV rinsing to help with detangling. Thanks so much!

  • @chantel2016 You are so welcome. Let me know how the rinse works out for your hair. Remember to do your research on the uses for onions. Very interesting data about such a simple food. Enjoy.

  • I went one better...check your inbox. I love your vids.

  • @peepla7 I checked the box and wrote down the receipe. Thanks girl, I'll let you know when I'm ready to try it.

  • Haha thanks. Funny though...I'm allergic to onions. I use oregano...it detangles too. This is a great video.

  • @peepla7 You are right, oregano detangles hair very well. Way to go on knowing your herbs! Thank you for always being so nice.

  • When I take my hair down, I'll have to try this. Where do you get all of your powders and herbs from?

  • @glitterandglueforyou I first purchased most of my herbs from mountain rose herbs. I now purchase most at ethnic markets, local health food stores, grocery store occasionally.
