No problemo - there are hundreds of great hip hop, r'n'b songs from the 80-ies or 90-ies that borrowed samples from other songs and they sound awesome. Like for example "rappers delight" from sugar hill gang, "mo money mo problem" by biggie, "do for love" by tupac, "the first night" by monica to name a few. Somehow when todays artists try to cover some great track form back in the days it sounds awfull.
