  • i love how if you agree with the idea that you should treat animals with a little respect, take care of them, feed them their natural diet you are labeled a leftist, liberal hippie. since when did caring about something other than yourself make you a hippie?

  • As far as I know, current thinking is, we'll Asphyxiate ourselves; when Polar cap melts in next 50-100 years, frozen methane hydrate; in sea bed under Icecap, for a very very long time (56 million years?) or anywhere within the last 6.5K years for any creationists out there ^_^ ? The point, we trash planets, it's what we do best; because someone told us when we were all kids, we'll be fine. Do anything you like, our big invisible friend in the sky; doesn't mind the mess, it's expected; destiny?

  • It's all about balance. French fries/grapes. See its that easy.

  • if you eat a twinkie you have 6 months to live....LOL...so true

  • Thank you for making this movie, we need to educate the world.

  • Can't watch this jerk of a host.

  • Between corporate greed, fascism and poverty, we are creating THE scenario that increases the possibility of a major pandemic. This is exactly the END elitists intended for us ~ are you prepared? Only the improved immune systems of raw-foodists will be able to endure the imminent catastrophic consequences of the coming revolution... What? Thanks to internet, the age of knowledge IS upon us. Wake up to truth, tell others NOW before its too late for us 99%. (read bold print) Hmm...

  • 1 billion - 1804

    2 billion - 1927

    3 billion - 1959

    4 billion - 1974

    5 billion - 1987

    6 billion - 1999*

    7 billion - 2011

  • We are on the eve of 7 billion...7 BILLION people on this planet. Without the methods that they criticize we would have mass starvation. I think it's awfully arrogant that Mahar and Pollan attack these processes in a way as to think that free range is the only alternative. I'm not saying that there aren't certain abuses, but there has to be a recognized middle ground. Just because Pollan and Mahar can afford to eat in the alternative manner, doesn't mean that the majority of the wold can.

  • @endabcs there shouldn't even be 7 billion people.

  • @endabcs

*facepalm* We produce more than enough food to feed everyone on the planet (I believe there has been a 17% calorie increase per person over the last few decades). Population isn't the issue, poverty is. Poor people cannot afford to eat well. They would be able to if we drove down vegetable prices by converting grazing land (given that beef is nonessential and not particularly healthy) and corn fields in to areas for actual GOOD food.

  • @endabcs A story just came out about the US govt. telling a scientific team not to disclose the details of a super bug they had created which is extremely deadly. It was a sub-headline which faded after a day. I think we'll be hearing a lot more about this in the coming months or years. If the population increases to a point where it is undeniably unsustainable then the powers that be will attempt to thin the herd. Better they live like kings than make it work for everyone.

  • @hop208 Wasn't that story on H1N5 (Bird Flu) grown in Chimps in Holland, but with all the potency of the original H1N5 still in tact; only now it could be successfully passed by airborne transmission between humans? I heard debate surrounding that, was more about political analysts reluctance for scientists to disclose 'secret' manufacturing process in peer review papers; as terrorists may get hold of Bio WMD. Old Pakistani scientist gives Iran nuke secrets years ago; and still no bangs?

  • @endabcs actually research has shown that more and more people are begining to grow their own food in their gardens and even in a city like new york people are raising their own chickens as well.

  • well it is not a secret that fast food are bad for you, and yet people keep eating them. The reason? "it is FAST!" lol. so yeah, our dumb americans will trip every single time.

  • @akathetruthteller

I think that is a very simplified way of looking at a major problem. In my experience, many people eat fast food because they don't understand nutrition or they want to save money. Although I do agree with the 'dumb' part - I think public schools should have more programs on healthy eating and better cafeteria food; cut off a little of the military's budget and use it to buy kids veggies instead of pizza :)

  • No fast food for me! Thank you very much!

  • why doesny he talk about seafood. Do they do the same with seafood?

  • The "we would need two more worlds if everyone ate as much meat as americans" is fault!

They only take into account land that is ready for agiculture TODAY. Although due to global warming and farming improvement there will be ALOT more land avaible in the future.

They also don't take into account genetically modification that we can make to our plants. As of today, most of the world food production isn't yet modified and we would doubble our output if it was.

  • @Salladsdressing Genetically modified food is not a good thing.

  • @ACLogikel

    Why do you believe that?

We have genetically modified our food for thousands of years by crossing different plants with eachother . So the only difference with the modified food that are on the market today is that the genetic modifications that they make today are done in a lab where they actually can controll exactly what genes they put into the plant so that it is safer, grows faster and yeild more. When you put plants together before you had no idea of the outcome!

  • @Salladsdressing Breeding is not the same as genetically modified crops, the GMC are chemically altered in a lab, they are not cross breeds and they are not natural. It is a lab tech with a computer screwing around to make bigger corn kernels, not a better, healthier, properly breed corn, it's all for profit.

It is not safer, delusional much?

If you could take a shot to make your baby grow in 2 months instead of 9 would you think that is safer and more effective? You can yield more kids!

  • @ACLogikel

You have not read biology! ;)

Crossing two plants with eachother is the same thing only that you don't have control over which genes that will dominate the new breed.

In a lab they can control which genes they put into the plant and ALL GENES THEY PUT IN ARE NATURAL! There are no "unatural genes" and they don't loose "healthy genes" in the process.

The problem is that with 7 billion people on this planet we NEED crops to yeild more but we don't need to grow our population

  • @Salladsdressing You're incompetent. Natural selection vs lab selection. Think about it. Fuck off.

  • @Salladsdressing if GMO foods are so natural & safe why has the food industry spent so much money lobbying lawmakers to ensure they don't have to label their foods GMO? Why aren't they spending that money to educate the public & labeling their food as GMO instead of fighting so hard for the right to hide it? Also, GMO is not "crosssing two plants with each other." They have spliced the genes of Atlantic cod (fish) with tomatoes to make them impervious to frost. Does that sound "natural" to you?

  • @Randi5674 It's because there are so much propaganda about GMO's out there that if they labeled foods GMO sales would go down. I mean the vast majority of scientists stand behind GMO's. So it's like evolution in a way. If you go out as a politician and say that you support the theory of evolution you will have a lesser chance of getting elected. So you refrain from mentioning it becaue the public is deluded.

Hahahaha! Do you know ANYTHING about biology? There are NO fish genes in tomatoes =P

  • @Salladsdressing This is what the vast majority of the scientific community says about GMO's "Hence assesments of modern biotechnology is lagging behind development: information can be anecdotal and contradictory and uncertainty on benefits and harms is unavoidable. There is a wide range of perspectives on the environmental, human health and economic risks and benefits of modern biotechnology, many of these risks are yet unknown." -IAASTD, UN/World Bank report by 400 scientists.

  • @Salladsdressing The point was that they combine segments of DNA from completely different organisms. Like a GM rice which combined segments of human DNA with rice.

  • @Salladsdressing The 2010 data on the worldhunger website states "The world produces enough food to feed everyone.""Poverty is the principal cause of hunger." worldhunger"dot"org/articles/Learn/world%20hunger%20facts%202002.htm

It is immoral to promote GM foods being kept outdoors and for human consumption when there are possible health, environmental and contamination risks. Especially when studies suggest organic foods can benefit poor countries and feed the world without GMOs.

  • @Salladsdressing You said "There are no "unatural genes" and they don't loose "healthy genes" in the process." Not only does Genetic Engineering add segments of DNA, it also "knocks out" genes.

  • Not to seem gratuitously graphic but we humans also can't digest corn well either. Next time you tAke a dump check it out. There is. Kernel of truth to what is being preAches here and we need to Toeast consider the information before we write it off as propaganda.

  • he is completely wrong about oranges, my grandpa grows oranges and picks when they are ripe. otherwise I completely agree though.

  • @Roberodification Just because your gramps does it right doesn't mean big business does.

  • @creepychris11 He does it consistently with the way it is done throughout the central valley in California. I can't speak for Florida though.....

  • Bill is arrogant enough to think his thoughts so are right that someone rebuts him a little bit, he deflects to comedy.

  • @TheAvocadoGuy To be fair, comedy IS his profession.

  • @Jonmad17 Good point. Making fun of others and their stances for a laugh IS his profession. Then outside his profession he eats just as Michael Pollan says he should. A raw food diet. youtube [dot ] com/watch?v=aztxTPXbWbw&feature=related

  • @TheAvocadoGuy Bill wasn't nearly as harsh as you're implying...it's just the way he is, like or not.

  • @b3gregjockca republican?

  • Why is Bill such a conspiracy theorist. The one dude was a lot more rational in this conversation.

  • Eating organic or non-processed food is significantly more expensive than eating junk food. Just visit your local produce section if you don't believe me. I think people do want to eat healthy food, but they just can't afford it, especially not in an economy with 10% unemployment and where wages have not increased with the cost of living.

  • @dagny219 a great way to get involved and reduce $ is by setting up your own garden...just one tomato plant is a start to eating and living a better life

  • @dagny219 It's true. I'm disabled. I have to live on very very little money. I can't even eat some days, let alone shop at Whole Foods, as much as I want to. My dad pays for my internet, but he can't feed me too. He only pays for my internet b/c it's only $35 a month on his account. But how much would it cost to feed me? A lot more. A LOT more. So how am I supposed to eat good food? It's not an easy situation. I swear to God as soon as I've got enough cash I'm moving to Canada. I'm dead serious.

  • Bill's pious derision of canned and frozen food is BS. While the vitamin content might be diminished, canning or freezing fruits and vegetables does NOT make them suddenly bad for you. A can of pineapple is far better for you than a fresh bacon cheeseburger.

He is also ignoring the environmental impacts of shipping foods from other hemispheres. (Yeah, Bill... everyone can't live in southern california where they don't have winter.)

  • @klaptongroovemaster When you're right, you're right. My uncle is a nutritionist. He worked with many celebrities including Hulk Hogan. Not a ringing endorsement, but I like to make fun of him about that. But Anyway, he's an expert in nutritional science and he says that frozen/canned vegetables are two of the main reasons we're not dying of malnutrition at age 40. If you can't get fresh veggies and fruit, eat the stuff you can. And he's a real-life bonafide scientist.

  • c'mon Bill. anybody whos ever been to florida and seen those big produce trucks comming out of the groves full of orange Oranges knows they're NOT picked green & injected! (those are the ones from South America)

  • ****Worldwide Plant Fruit Trees in 2011***** Fruit trees saved many from starvation during the great depression. If everyone in this world does their part and just plants one fruit tree, it could save lives. We dont know what our world will be like in two years from now.

  • Bill Mahr is a great tool for Christianity. Many people are ashamed to be atheist because of him lol. They are leaving atheism like rats from a sinking ship. Listen to us debate atheists and win at shockawenow . n e t

  • @shockofgod "they are leaving atheism like rats from a sinking ship"

I know none of them can answer your question, despite the 10k video responses you got, none of which you approved.

Get out of here you blocking coward.

  • "The bacteria turn their nose up at a Twinkie."

Wow! That's all that needs to be said. Case closed.

  • I will keep eating tuna until tuna is extinct. I will keep eating delicious beef until the earth is devastated by global warming, I don't give a fuck about hippie bullshit.

  • I think Bill asked some really tough questions, good for him

  • worst Mahr film i have ever seen

  • Twinkies have no dairy products in them. Hense the last awhile. But they have a shelflife of 25 days. Still spongey doesn't mean it's still edible. Bad thinking. Oranges ripen during delivery. If they were picked ripe then shipped, they would be rotten by the time they got to a distributor. Bill Maher is a raw foodie, anti-germ theorist.

  • Have not heard a single good arguement against these foods. sounds like allot of finger pointing, fear mongering

  • We should stop subsidizing corn.

  • Comment removed

  • Bill is another paid shill to hide the truth under the guise of humor and making the truth speakers look stupid and silly..he should be considered an enemy

  • Thanks for uploading this I found the movie itself very interesting. I'm GLAD Bill Maher had an interview with Michael Pollan.

  • Orange Juice is bad? Pollan was saying something about Orange Juice, they inject something...that's actually bad to drink?

  • Bill Maher is tremendously unfunny.

  • I love your channel. I'm sure you love good foods too!! View, rate, comment my videos. I'm sure you'll love them! You are the best!!

  • vv vv vv .savenaturalhealth. eu/

Sign the petition before the end of april!

  • vague! who are these multinational companies? who works there? To say LARGE CORPORATION is vague! Say the names of people, names of company

  • @alphafirstoneyou Monsanto, Perdue, etc. any brand you see when you buy premade and frozen food at the supermarket.

  • @rebeccaleahh Well nothing actually has a Monsanto label on it. Monsanto just provides the genetically modified ingredients to make these foods.

  • oh god..... if the Chinese were to jump on the American food wagon..lawl

  • Bill Mahr-STFU and let the man talk. I wonder who paid Bill to overtalk this guy?

  • @redbonegal lol conspiracy conspiracy i know. we live in a big world ruled by the Illuminati

  • @Bear2525able

He's referring to the fact that cows cannot digest corn properly (they evolved to eat grass) but we feed it to them anyways.

  • @ballersack just like humans weren't meant to suckle cows/goats/camel milk but we're sucked into believing it's "good for us".

  • @ChrizstianC Really? What about the millions of people who drank milk long before there was advertising?

  • @Bear2525able

I wasn't going to comment on your post, but in the film ecoli was rare among our population until corporations got involved in the food industry and ecoli mostly came from the "sick animals" that were processed and slaughtered. Even if they don't make it to the food supply, nobody checks the food to see if it's harmful. No disrespect, everyone is entilted to their own opinion, but that was preety ignorant ony your part

  • @Bear2525able what a dumbass

  • @Bear2525able there is someone, who doesnt want to know the truth?

  • @Bear2525able Keep saying that as you end up dying of multiple illnesses.

  • for every feed lot there are numerous small scale livestock operations. I think this guy just generalizes and plays on peoples ignorance.

I drive by all kinds of livestock operations everyday on my way to work.

Pretty sure these guys aren't owned by large corps.

Micheal pollen is living in a dream world and is not realistic. The population is approaching 7 billion people.

  • I don't like how they're attacking meat as a whole,

Americans are the some of the unhealthiest people on the planet but it's not because of beef. The problem is morals and shady of business practices. Keep in mind the natives were healthy and they ate buffalo.

And telling people not to eat fish is teaching them to avoid the issue at hand which is industrial waste. Elect a leader who is tough on white collar crime. Meat isn't making you sick; corporate business practices are.

  • @Trillasecond My reading says buffalo is higher in protein and lower in fat than cow beef. Heart and Cancer orgs both say to minimize meat. and I'm listening.

  • he kept interupting micheal from talking . zzz now i wont know what he would say .

  • a guy in my class thinks that apple and mcdonalds are gonna take over the world and form MacDonalds

  • @bmp456 lmao thats a good one

  • the interviewer is kind of a douche lol

  • @trancesensation23 "kind of"? the guy's a total schmuck.

  • watch alex jone's video "the ultimate secret exposed" it's about food

  • most beef is still raised by small farmers then sold to corporations to slaughter so they're both wrong... fucking city people don't know a thing

  • @clint1663 - You're only fooling yourself. Pollan knows most beef STARTS OUT being raised by small farmers. The whole process is in his earlier book, "The Omnivore's Dilemma." Beef cattle spend only the early part of their lives on small family farms. These small farmers are forced to absorb the worst financial risks of raising cattle. Most cattle are then sold to huge corporate feed lots. They spend the rest of their lives eating the wrong foods, plus antibiotics, exactly as Pollan says here.

  • @kevintype no farmer is forced to do anything.

    Les

  • @CouldNotCareLes - Small farmers could sell their farms and get jobs at McDonald's. In that sense, what you say is true. However, every small farmer who wants to participate in the mainstream beef cattle industry is, in fact, FORCED to absorb the worst financial risks of raising cattle: breeding; caring for mothers; caring for each animal when it is newborn, vulnerable to predators and disease. The most profitable phases of the business have ALL been gobbled up by giant corporations.

  • @kevintype - any farmer who wishes can finish beef cattle.

I have neighbors (small family farmers) who purchase feeders and sell fat cattle.

No farmer is forced to do anything.

    What are you talking about?

    Les

  • @CouldNotCareLes - And who, exactly, buys the finished cattle from your neighbors?

  • @kevintype - Packers.

    I see.

You are suggesting that beef should be sold directly from the pasture to the consumer.

Now, I am sitting here 150 miles from any substantial population center.

How is that going to work?

    Les

  • @CouldNotCareLes - You are making unwarranted assumptions. I did not suggest anything like what you claim I am suggesting. Feel free to read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" for yourself if you are interested in knowing the basis of Pollan's argument, or in fact, what his argument actually is. Either way, have a nice life.

  • @kevintype - I have read "The Omniveore's Dilemma"

The Packers buy the finished cattle from my neighbors.

    Umm, your point is?

    Les

  • @kevintype -

I have read "The Omniveore's Dilemma"

The Packers buy the finished cattle from my neighbors.

    Umm, your point is?

    Les

  • Ever feed 300 million people 2 or 3 meals a day? If I could get into my Mercedes and drive to the Trader Joe's like you guys I would, but go ahead and yuck it up buddy boys, I'll wave hello if I see you at the Starbucks after your yoga class or out near the gay bars and abortion clinic, o ya fuck Bush and have an awesome day

  • It is ironic. The very diet Bill advocates is the very same diet created by the very same God Bil vehemently denies and mocks.

  • @DigitalPraise7 I did not know "god" had a cook book ha ha

  • kymaticalhealth you are wrong, eat a healthy piece of meat and you will shit it out the next day and after you eat it you can run a marathon !!!

  • In a century they will look back at us and just laugh. Real proven science says we do not have the required hydrochloric acid do digest meat. North Americans are the most unhealthy people on the planet. Eating meat takes up to a week to digest. Your body goes into overtime to try to deal with it when it should be detoxing you from heavy metals, air pollution ect. I wonder why I don't get sick and everyone else does? Just eat in moderation and I know its hard to change how you eat.

  • @KymaticaHealth I think that having the constitution of a hunter-gatherer (which is what we naturally are) may be why it takes a week to digest meat, if that is true. Enough meat to feed everyone may be have been few and far between. So, there would have been enough time to digest all the meat. The real answer to our dietary health woes is very likely much more complicated than all the simple arguments put out by all the differing view points on this issue.

  • @tubeman2010 the way I see it is that we were gatherers first, then gatherer/scavenger, gatherer/scavenger/opportunistic hunter etc true hunting was relatively late in our history and we were already human by then. It is likely that a lot of the meat we ate was carrion and to more or less degree decaying and therefore more digestible. Lack of bacteria in our diet combined with antibiotics also contributes to our woes.

  • @tubeman2010 It doesn't take a week to digest it.... it does stay in your digestive track for a week but after a certain point there's nothing else your absorb from it, it just stay there rotting in your colon and giving you colon cancer and making you constipated on top of that!

  • @XNinjaSebX I just don't see how it wouldn't be pushed out. There's only but so much room in our colons, and it seems that fibrous foods would manage to move it through.

  • @tubeman2010 Well it would be ''pushed out'' as you said but it take longer than whole plant foods. Which is not a good thing. The main problem is if you bowel movement are not regular, what's in your digestive tract will get dehydrated and become solid fecal matter.

I've heard somewhere that an average human have 5 to 25 pounds of dried fecal matter in their digestive tract! This cause malabsorption of nutriment and digestive problems.

  • @KymaticaHealth I agree with you and i don't get sick either i don't eat pork, beef,or chicken occasionally a fish but lots of nuts, greens and pasta and i am good to go ...:)

  • @powerimprint How old are you? What is your IQ? Simpleton.

  • pollan is the man....i wished more people cared about this issue

  • I own stock in Food Inc, it offers a very good return on investment.

  • As a farmer I have extrememly split opinions on Pollan. He demonizes agriculture and says that the "pastoral image" of farming no longer exists. He is dead wrong. I see old red barns every day, drive tractors, ride horses etc. The family farm still exists and still is the backbone of the agriculture industry. Where I can agree with Pollan is on his thoughts on on Large Corps. in control of the industry. The issue at its core comes down to the Government, Litigators and a Sue Happy Society.

  • @farmerdan84 When i watched the movie they showed some real farmers, and living on a farm i know how you would feel but i think what he meant is that is the majority. There are still farmers that make great healthy, tasty food. I think what he's saying is the food that we usually get(that has the pastoral image on it) is the food that is most definitly NOT coming from there. I buy my meat from butchers and veggies/fruits from a farmers market because i don;t trust major corporations.

  • what the fuck do thes two eat?

  • im 22, your math sucks a bit., bill maher has also wrote his own books and movies, suck it. this guy shows up on bill maher comedy talk show and you expect bill maher to treat this like a debate?. you're an idiot.

  • I wish Maher would stfu and let his guests speak.

  • Bill Maher tells it like it is..!

  • 1:20 It's not on the bacon- Bill Maher YOU'RE A FUCKING ASSHOLE.

Why the fuck did u invite this guy onto your shitty cable show if you are going to HARRASS him within 50 seconds you asshole."And you have a beef with beef?" Maher you're a fucking loser-some things never change.

Then the jerk turns it into a joke-GREAT-hahaha asshole real funny.

  • @ed11561 he's a comedian, they do that troll. ill assume you hated his film religulous too?

  • @thricegod1288 fuck you asshole.I didn't think religulous was even worth putting on film.Showed some inconsistencies in religion-big deal.Religion is hypocrisy bitchboy.

He sucks as any kind of comedian.

  • Comment removed

  • @cadu1995 You kids and your elitist attitudes, one day you will grow up and realize your opinions arent worth shit to anyone but yourself. troll harder next time.

  • @thricegod1288 You morons who assume ANYTHING about anybody from a year? on their name are really ignorant morons who know nothing but jump to ASSumptions with no facts. LOL What a loser. If you don't like my opinion-fuck you asshole-lol

Do u think i care what the fuck you think douchebag? Not at all.

FOOL. BTW moron. cadu1995 was the First Caddy STS i had asshole. LOL

punk asshole kids are everywhere. LOL stupid.

  • @cadu1995 obviously it must matter you because you still are crying about my comments. and im not assuming anything. its takes alot of research and knowledge to get a book published. so i can actually say what michael pollan wrote in his books and movies as fact, because he is a credible source. Maybe when you publish your own book. or even begin to think for yourself i might say you have a point, but your a troll. and probably still live at home, so anything you say is null and void to me.

  • @thricegod1288 You're a MORON who likes to argue about nothing douchebag.

A punk 24 year old kid who wants to fight about Pollan when i'm talking about Maher-what an asshole you are. U don't even have the right person to defend stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @cadu1995 also michael pollan has a bachelors degree as a columnist and a masters degree in english he also teaches at columbia university. so im pretty sure not only did he do the research on his movies and books, but he's a well respected author. so yes! i will take anything he says extreme credibility. Troll.

  • @thricegod1288 I never mentioned a word about Michael Pollan genius. HE is credible. I was talking about the asshole non-funny bill maher.

You can't even get right who i'm talking about moron.Run along & play sonny.

  • @mistersmith The corporations are running the country. The lobby and control all fascets of govt that regulate... well themselves. I think we'd be fine with booting them out of the govt actually regulating them and goin back to a more farm style agriculture again. I am fully aware that the chances of any of this happening are pretty much non-existant ... but what is giving up and saying we're in this together gunna do. I'm not with them. It is them and me for sure ... not us.

  • Stop eating so much damned meat america... oh i like meat cause i'm a man... SIMPLETON ... shut the fuck up and eat better food.

  • As if WE are human and the the cooperations that manage food are not ours!! Multi-national co-operations are WHAT? They are US! Our trust-funds, our superannuation funds, our investments in OUR KIDS college futures, and if they don't deliver profits the execs get fired (for a nice package) so stop saying Us and THEM. Just eat less...2000 calories is all you need and let agricultural subsidies protect local agriculture and the expensive but safe way they deliver good food and continue.

  • @mistersmith6000 You miss the point by a mile... look in to it and you will see that you are wrong. These corporations are the government. They allow the food industry to go crazy and produce horrible food just to turn a profit. The genetically alter food and patent it so only they can produce it ... if everyone keeps your ignorant mentality .. .we will ultimately be fucked.

  • @Stevil3113 OK..show me where to start. Multinationals are huge and destructive - because they just run with the globalization tide (globalization is a pretty word for a misguided and opportunistic thing) . But let's face it. We, I mean people from rich countries INVEST in it and NEED it. I don't want to. It distresses me, but I see nothing else. What point am I missing!!

  • "In defense of food" we need to understand that subsidies don't cause cheap food, they result from it. So subsidies aren't the policy issue to change to fix it. We need nonsubsidy price floors & supply management similar to traditional farm bills. (No, they didn't have corn subsidies, contrary to what you have probably been told.) We need the Food from Family Farms Act from the National Family Farm Coalition, the lead organization on this specific policy matter of cheap food. More at my page

  • Why Why WHY, did they have to bring this conversation down with the AGW Bull Shit!!. Yes, its has bad environmental effects, but don't call it AGW, PLEASE..

  • @HermeticPoet you need to do your research. global warming CAN be traced to climate change through factory processes and is one of the #1 causes of pollutants.

  • @raeann105 Where? The planet ain't warming anymore, its cooling.. Hence the propagandists ploy of changing their terminology from Global Warming to Climate Change.. Climate Change, hhmm, doesn't weather change all the time??? Our climate is cyclical, it changes in short 30 year cycles and much larger cycles. Our destroying of rain forests to feed cattle (McDonalds/BK) is causing serious environmental damage, granted, but is NOT causing Global Warming!!!

  • @HermeticPoet

"ain't"??? what cow-town are you from?

  • @wickedboy2001 One were we obviuosly EDUCATE ppl rather than brainwash them with corporate propaganda ;-)

  • It's interesting how Bill Maher used to have a show called "Politically Incorrect." Yet now he couldn't be more politically correct.

At any rate, I embrace the diet Pollan advocates, but only on the basis of traditionalism, not political correctness.

  • Genesis chap. 1 - 29 verse tells us how we should have be living .

  • How did this video skip youtube copyright catcher?

  • shut the hell up bill. seriously.

  • Bill is insane.

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP BILL. Your comments are NOT FUNNY. Let this man speak you FUCK.

  • @RSCII come on man, it's the way the show is. I think Bill really admires Michael Pollan.

  • I like Bill Maher but he did a bad interview here

  • I'll give this 1 star just because I wish Michael should have slapped Bill and shut him up to explain to us what we should be concerend about, it goes even farther than this... I highly recommend the book The Omnivours Dilemma by Michael Pollen... pretty much that we have forgotten our cultural ways of eating, you can't even trust organic, watch and read the labels...

  • I usually like Bill, but in this Interview he's acting like an Idiot...

  • Actually frozen vegetables are fine for you. And canned vegetables aren't so bad either.

  • Canned may have unnatural preservatives. Frozen food vegetables are actually bad. The slow process of freezing in our freezers actually makes tiny clusters of ice on the molecules destroying nutrition in the food. Fast freezing makes big ice crystals in the food; the crystals just push the molecules. My information on canned food can be found anywhere and I believe I found the frozen food info on the animal planet ("Most extreme" they talked Arctic animals eating frozen food)

  • @amazeblaze I agree. From my research and personal experience I have found that the further away from its original source our food is, the less nutritional value it has and the more stressful it is to our bodies.

  • To add to the frozen food you can taste the ice crystals more than the molecules of nutrition. That's why frozen food taste bad. I guess you can also say that the fast freezing process in the Arctic is why eskimos are healthier than people in the Industrial world.

  • Bill needs to shut up!

  • @gregoryagogo MOrons he's trying to keep his audience interested.

  • I'm "the audience" and alls he makes me do is want to smack him so his guest have his moment!

  • fuck sake we MUST eat something I like fucking tuna

  • Bill Maher is such an ass.

  • @resteep

no its good that he brings up these subjects

  • @Alba12349 my problem with him is he takes away from the issue by asking stupid questions.

just let polan talk. Or at least ask useful questions.

  • @resteep

yes I agree with you on that but its still good that he brings these things up. you would nevre see this on jay leno or that dyke ellen

  • OK Bill, we know you're funny, get to the point !!
