  • I am starting Jo kata in Kenpo Karate and this video was really helpful. Thanks

  • ah...we study this in six parts as a mi'ino jo kata. This is awesome....I'll definitely use this film when I practice. I ran across this looking for a contemporary kata 4 long form.

  • Hello.

I learned the kata in the very early 1990's, and have practiced it ever since. It comes from Kosho-Ryu Kempo. (Juchnik lineage) It is called "Ma-Ai No Jo". Thanks for taking the time to watch it!

  • Very impressive. May I ask where you learned to use it and also how long did it take you to reach that level of skill?

  • Looks good.

  • Thank you. Looks like the kata can be easily translated to bo sized staff as well.

Thanks for taking the time to review it!
