When I first watched this vid I knew that I would have to learn to play it. I have followed Daddy's link to Guitar Workshop and bought the CD. What a great buy! Not only the tabs for this tune but for six others as well, plus all the great tracks to listen to, and all for a tenner delivered. DaddyS you are a great inspiration to us aspiring guitar pickers!!
Thanks, glad to be of help...I still remember the pleasure I had when buying this lp in the 70ies so it's a pleasure finding out others experience the same.
Hi Daddysovepipe, grate playing, "einwandfrei", like from the LP, gratulation, Yes, scott joplin means at his piano sheets "dont play Ragtime fast" , i have to think about this words from scott. ääääh apropo..scottisch whysiky is very good... i will drink out this bottle scottish very slowly tonight... ääääh ... merryy Christmas and absolut cheers
you are a great player but because of their insane superiority we are : sub-culture ? who are the assholes when it is FOLK and FOLK LORE and FOLK MUSIC ....
in this tempo it was a great pleasure to screw those assholes on the royal conservatory in the hague in the netherlands with their fucked up classical guitar crap wich one MUST play for their insane admission committee and instead of this i played bela bartok's children song's and started to realize it is possible to play passing the V position .... i was having fun .... they ? .... i don't give a shit .... rag the time ? .... they become aware now of casino capitalism ....
SUPERB. Scott Joplin is my all-time no. 1 musical hero, and this is also my favourite of all his compositions. Thank you so much for posting this, and inspiring me to once again have another go at trying to learn it! If only I had your talent!!!
awesome tune! The description was interesting too.. Ironic how you play that in front of a huge evergreen with obvious signs of life in the snow lol ... great job!
DaddyStovePipe, what a damn great recording of an excellent ragtime. Your interpretation of this recording does justice to the memory of these two great men of an old-time music. Peace in this time of chaos.

WOW! Discovering your stuff just made my day!
Thanks again for these great postings. This one is particularly special. The slow rag feel is mournful but contented at the same time. Just great.
Nice axe too man.

it's a blackbird - I feed them in wintertime, it's a contant battle between several of them with a lot of flying in and off the feedingtable.
