Wrong, the crosshair can't be seen because of the video resolution or quality.

Its barely visible at 1:52 against the wall. It appears brown because of a codec used.

And no, I don't use auto aim.

Weapons do no display high capacity magazines when the first person weapon mode is enabled. I think that's where you're getting confused. :P

There are no first person reloading animations with high capacity magazines, so it you use any with that option selected, your operative will still reload like he/she is using standard capacity magazines. The only thing changed is the ammunition counter (101 x 2, instead of the usual 31 x 6).
