Going through his tragic backstory or bringing him back to life through some rediculous means will just drag him down. But I liked Vader a hell of a lot more when he was dark and mysterious and you could use your own imagination to fill in the blanks.
i love 2 games first castlevania and second devil may cry are the best fucking games in all history. the history of devil may cry is awesome and with beautiful soundtracks
I want vergil to be a playable character in that reboot like in special edition devil may cry 3 but he probably won't -.-. He should have been in Marvel v.s capcom WITH Dante but his move set would own the entire game xD. He'd be INSTANT OP.

@Crmad1993 You will hate this as well but they got rid of the "Stylish" meter. It's like if the creators of DMC a.k.a Ninja Theory never played any of the franchise. I say people play DMC4 for their DMC hd. DMC5 is unacceptable and mediocre looking at best.

@Prnnce Well if the game runs well on 30 fps I have no problem with that. I don't really care for a cool down on the guns. Did they replace the style meter with anything else? What is wubstep? Well Dante was already half demon but the angel thing might be cool as well. It's new at least.

Also I hadn't noticed that the story was suppose to represent that humans can be worse than demons, I guess 3 and 4 really pointed that out. Well it is a new story and I don't know how it will be but I'm not sure I look forward to it if they can't make the gameplay nice and smooth.
The first time I played DMC3, it took me 4 hours to beat Vergil. I had to become a master of the game, read his every move, no room for mistakes. It was truly an epic battle. A couple days later I figured out that I hadn't bought a single health or DT upgrade the whole game, and that he was actually pretty easy.

i can proudly say that devil may cry 3 is one of my favorite games. the music, the gameplay, the challenge!!!! they all came together to make one incredible game that i continue to cherish to this day. dmc4 may have lost that certain charm but it had its good points too. i just hope dmc5 doesnt follow in the footsteps of dmc2 and totally... well ... honestly i am just hopin to see vergil in it. thats enough for me to buy it.

@NOEXEoriginal I see the point but do remember that they reserve the right to shape the game in which direction they want since it is their game. I don't know exactly why they had to redo the entire series but I am kind of looking forward to it, I just hope that the gameplay doesn't suck.

The only real problem I have with what I've seen of the reboot is that Dante smokes. What the hell? I thought Dante was too cool to smoke.

Look at any gameplay footage, it's choppy as hell.
Style meter is gone, replaced by audio cues that are ruined by the dubstep soundtrack.
And the whole point of half demon half human aspect of the story was to point out that humans are sometimes worse than humans.

i can proudly say that devil may cry 3 is one of my favorite games. the music, the gameplay, the challenge!!!! they all came together to make one incredible game that i continue to cherish to this day. dmc4 may have lost that certain charm but it had its good points too. i just hope dmc5 doesnt follow in the footsteps of dmc2 and totally... well ... honestly i am just hopin to see vergil in it. thats enough for me to buy it.

@ROFL, I can see the point but it is their game to mess with and change, they own the rights, not the consumers. To be honest, I would be surprised if the game didn't do well in the end. Although I'm worried about what the other person just told me saying the gameplay is choppy and not fluid.

@NOEXEoriginal I see the point but do remember that they reserve the right to shape the game in which direction they want since it is their game. I don't know exactly why they had to redo the entire series but I am kind of looking forward to it, I just hope that the gameplay doesn't suck.

ya know the way the rivalry between them ends up is really sad actually they still cared for each other but their views were so vastly different. they actually couldve killed each other at certain points in the game and seemed to have dealt fatal blows but didnt and kept each other alive its kinda weird
