This shows, how shit windows is programmed, look, we do this with 7 mhz, and 512kb - what we need for this today ? 2,4 ghz, and 4gb ram.... (greetings overload of HJT)
Can you convert your SymbOS to the Commodore 128D? The 128D has a mode with Zilog Chip and CP/M 128K ram AND a 64k video ram allowing for 640x200x4. Now, what would be really amazing is if you can can SymbOS to run with the Z80 and the 7 Mhz 65xx MOSTEK chip to run in parallel....(the C128D has three cpu chips)
I heared, that the Z80 inside the C128 only runs at 2MHz, and that there are no common memory expansions, where you can use the RAM for executing programs directly (but only as Ram disc). Because of this I wasn't sure yet, if a port would make sense? CU, Prodatron
The Z80 has no direct access to anything and there is no 7Mhz chip inside. Also the 640x200 mode is monochrome with attributes. Also, not all C128 have 64K Video ram. :P

No, this video shows an MSX turboR without a GFX9000 or an accelerator card. See "SymbOS on a MSX TurboR + GFX9000" 1-2 for video with this card.

Some Z80 assembler coding and a good 8bit hardware platform from the 80ies (...erm early 90ies) with a 7mhz CPU and 512KB ram, and that's it ;-)

I'll bet there are more C128Ds out there than TurboR's! Whatever a TurboR is....

This is truly unbelievable. I saw this in action at MSX Info Update 2007 in Helsinki last weekend.

the TurboR isn't 8 bit, and it isn't cheap.

This system beats certain versions of "Microsoft Windows"... Awesome! It seens like XP, but for poor people... xDDDD
It's a joke. I started to join MSX in 1985, so I knows well, but this is really awesome.

I have never seen such a great MSX Software before! I think this is one of all-time best MSX (or all 8bit PC) software.
