All hail Joanna Dean! First time I heard this version, I about melted right into my dorm room floor. I wore out a couple of vinyl couples of this album. Listen to that whiskey soaked growl. That woman could lay to waste any Texas roadhouse on the map!
They say "timing is everything." In Joanna's case, it was the heyday of Madonna and metal....and she was neither. There are a number of incredible female artists from that time that didn't get "airplay" simply because they were not "madonna-like".
