  • thanks heaps mate for taking the time to make this vid muchly appreciated and the end result looks awesome good job man

  • what is the name of the paper that you cut the end of the video?

  • digging your videos... looking to change mediums, i was wondering though, can i get a photorealistic look airbrush look on canvas...and also i was wondering if acrylic paint can achieve these results?

  • so is the painting on sticker paper or the regular paper..i seen you cutting and removing parts so im just a little confused.

  • Hey man, first off, your stuff is beyond awesome. I also wanted to ask a question. I have the passche d3000r compressor and it seems as if i cannot keep my constant 30 psi airflow. I am a beginner and was wondering if that is normal, or if I'm doing something wrong because I see no other knobs i could mess with.

  • Holy shit ur amazing artist! How long it took you to paint that?

  • love all your work ryan, and great teaching also.shame you stopped making videos,is it by the coast airbrush thing?because every great artist that start being sponsored stops making videos...(jrodriguez too)

  • The revolution should be fine. Good luck

  • hi Ryan sorry but where you find the photo of the girl ?

  • @Krayzie4876

I made most of it up so.... the photo looks quite different

  • Hey Ryan, Love your stuff man. Very informative. I recently saw some of your stuff in airbrush action magazine too. I have an iwata revolution airbrush. Would I still be able to do some decent portraits with that for now? I've only been doing it a few months, so I haven't gotten any airbrushes for fine detail yet.

  • this video is great. i'm a tattoo artist and have just started to play with an airbrush, it's a super cheap harbor freight kit but it's given me the drive to try to go further with it. I really enjoy the artwork you airbrush and especially all the little bits of advice and opinions along the way

  • Hi Ryan your work is awesome I really like how you do your videos. I learned alot. This video you airbrush on white. How would you approach doing over a black base?

  • Thank you so much, I really do not have the patience, but it's fixable, I try))) Thank you again and wish you every success in future creativity!!!

  • Hi Ryan! To begin, I want to thank you for what you share your achievements, I am always happy to watch your videos to learn the subtleties of airbrushing. Now the question: white has a blue tint (cool), even with a few drops of black becomes gray but still remains blue (cold), but when we add more and more black color turns brown (warm) resulting picture looks dirty, or you are using black with a blue tint (or add blue)?? Thank you and sorry for my english, it's Google translator)))

  • @TheOSS117

Thank you. As for your questions. It only looks dirty if you don't use the black properly at the end. The gray looks a bit muddy at first, but when you contrast the final black it brings everything together. The trick is NOT to go back and forth between light and dark. One you commit to a darker value then stick to it. That's why patience is the key. Make sure you finish the value that you're in before you move on. P.S. I have some nice white's and blacks. Not much of a flop.

  • Ryan, can you reduce wicked paints with water?

And also what do you clean your airbrush with?

I use createx paints, but they don't work well on t-shirts.

  • @EDCarecaMusic

It's best to reduce Wicked with Wicked Reducer and clean your airbrush with Auto Air Restorer

  • the roses look amazing!

  • Do u use the same kind of paint on paper as u wonld on metal and plastic

  • @meljuni

I use Wicked on paper and HOK on metal.

  • What kind of paints do u use

  • that looks just awesome, absolutely love it. hope to see more pictures like that. greetings from germany!

  • ever time i see ur videos it make me go out try the thing u say to do and it work for me am going to try a black and gray pic to think you for u videos they help out a lot

  • that looks totally awesome dude

  • nice and clean.

  • What kind of air compressor do you use?

  • @rahimpowell3

I use a industrial 80 gallon shop compressor that's regulated at my airbrush hose. When I'm out doing demos I use a C02 tank.

  • Hi Ryan, was just wondering where you got your reference pic from, you say its on your computer ,but ,is it a photo of this girl and then you added skull, leaves Etc yourself,? and , if your ref is on the net could you point us in the right direction to find ref pic,, just be nice to print off and try to follow what you"re looking at in the ref before applying paint,,Basically,,paint along with Ryan, LOL,,,,Great vids and please keep them coming,,,greets from the U K,,,,,Bob.

  • @BobCoxUK

sorry Bob, but I made up most of this piece. I freehanded the image and changed it quite a bit, so my reference probably wouldn't do you any good on this one. Only her expression is the same. You can use any black and white picture to go from though. the process is the same. Good luck man!

  • You are soooo right! God! It's like you are talking to me, lol. I AM DEFINITELY very impatient with my airbrushing! And I'll skip steps ALOT! But I've noticed that it is usually because the artwork is going on a T Shirt and I feel that canvas isn't going to last thru so much wear and tear and wash....

  • In real time how many hours from sketch to completion did this painting take & over how many days if more then one.. Can you elaborate on this process as I think knowing that is important to learning the patience game..Feeling it's taking too long then going too dark too fast... Another great vid,..Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.

  • @fonzi883c

this one took two days. I have never spent more than three on any of my portraits.

  • great job Ryan. curious as to what tool that was you were using when you were doing her hair. I'm thinking a razor blade. Don't know if you were taking paint off with it or cutting the mask. Love your work, and the videos even more. Just starting and have a lot to learn.

  • @unclesteve313

    yes, it's a razor blade

  • Very, very nice Ryan, can you tell me what the size is of your neelde/nozzle and what airpressure you are using?

  • dude er fucking awesome how the hell great work blown away by this

  • Ok thanks for info and thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work.

  • the black that you're adding from the little squeeze bottle, is that already reduced?

  • @Sock110

Yes and no. I reduce it 50/50 in the bottle and then reduce it further in my brush.

  • nice man, bout time you made another video !

  • great vid!!

  • Amazin' Fella !. But can you answer one little question ?. Does it actually hurt having all that talent inside you ?. lol.

  • ive been waiting for this one man! thanks for posting!
