@HempHippie420 may be late but normal stores sell it everywhere, iodine salt is much cheaper but not by much, sense you arn't gonna cook with it the price doesn't matter you're just look n' for heavy grains. As for rubbing alcohol don't go less then 50% or you are just wasting your time(shaking will take forever)

@DubaholicDrop I say that wouldn't be an issue, salt is water soluble so put some warm water in it after cleaning and shake it and all should be soaked up in the water, I think this is a lovely tip but its for those that don't have precoolers. But this tip is the shit on spoons and nonpercolator bongs.

I used to use Spray & Wipe and a bottle brush to clean mine. Follow with a white vinegar rinse and several warm water rinses. Good as new.

Ethanol alcohol, which is safe to drink is vastly different from isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) Your far more likely to become violently ill, comatose, or worse before feeling "drunk". A friend of mine who was an alcoholic used to strain rubbing alcohol through several loafs of bread claiming it "deluded it", very stupid thing to do and still got sick. Besides even safe forms of alcohol is still technically considered poison.

@myweedspace DO NOT use rice in a perc bong. I've seen that swell and get stuck inside the perc, not cool. If you want anything to scrub it use salt but I suggest heating Isopropyl alchol 91% or more and then shaking that inside of your bong. Even easier if you can submerge it while you cook the alcohol since the bubbles do the scrubbing for you. Make sure not to microwave the Isopropyl too long, only takes a good 30 seconds to get it to a boil.

you can use salt or rice, if you dont clean your bong after every use with very hot water and shake it around, i dont but im gonna start pretty soon i hate looking at dirty pieces, use the alcohol with salt or rice, let stand for 5 mins then shake, use hot water with rice, shake and dump, dont use to much rice 10-20 grains is enough if you use to much it might get stuck inside your bong but it comes out after you smoke out of it once or twice, it pours out with the water.

For people with pipes here is your method.

1. Place your piece in a double bagged ziplock bag. (this is to prevent possible ripping which may cause to leak dirty liquid on the floor or even possibly your piece.

2. Place a fair amount of salt in the bag, it should be enough where your bowl is completley covered by salt. (salt is a natural abrasive that will clean the grime off your pipe.)

3. Place rubbing alchol in the bag 91% is the best. Your pipe should be Fully submerged.

4. Shake 4 5min
